I've been taking this brand of iron for several years now. After my weight loss surgery, this is the only iron that I can absorb effectively. I no longer have to get iron infusions after adding this to my daily supplements.

This is a great product. I had gastric bypass many years ago and have gone back and forth with low iron and iron infusions! No energy and have to get an iron infusion then dropping energy till I had no energy till I had to start all over again. I started this product after my last iron infusion my numbers were 4 I had 2 iron infusions to get my numbers to 200 . Mind you usually I drop quickly to 48-40 within 3-4 months this time after six months my numbers are 166! This supplement works great!!! Highly recommend it! Love this product and really love the stable energy levels!

THIS is Ferrous Fumarate. There is also Ferrous Gluconate, and the most common on the shelves at the drug store seems to be Ferrous Sulfate. My doctor specifically prescribed Ferrous Fumarate and there was only one very expensive brand at the drug store. So - I got the Ferret's brand on Amazon and have reordered many times. I had been iron deficient according to lab results, and taking this supplement once per day brought my various iron levels up very well and quite quickly. They are the least expensive I've found. They are smallish tablets and easy to swallow. I recommend. Other than physician consultation, I imagine you could consult your pharmacist, dietitian, nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. More proof: I regularly donate platelets at Red Cross. My hemoglobin levels get tested each time. They had been getting too low and I'd get turned away. Once I started taking these, my hemoglobin count would always be high enough!

I feel like this does really cause any stomach upset which I cannot say of other iron supplements I have tried. I have found the product inconsistent. The first bottles I bought where great. In subsequent bottles the pills where extremely dusty, almost crumbly. I almost gave up on these, but on my last order, the pills were back the the high quality of the first bottles that I ordered.

I have been taking these for years. They are normally dark brown and slightly shiny. All of a sudden, they have changed to much larger and not coated. Leave powder all of your fingers and so hard to swallow. My mother ordered her own box and the pill she got was red. Why are they all different coming from the same company????

My Doc said I should use this time of iron. Works great, all my iron numbers are in the mid range now.

Doesn’t upset stomach. Small pills. I like this brand the best, but they’re no longer available on Amazon; so I had to cancel my subscription.
