Very Nice Globe
This globe is much nicer than another one I purchased. It's sturdy, heavy enough so it doesn't fall over when you spin it, and the light up feature is awesome. The silver stand looks really nice and the globe has a glossy finish.

Beautiful. Great gift.
Beautiful and accurate topical depiction of the earth and also of its constellations. Lightweight to transport to different locations. The box the globe comes in is unmarked, and there is no paperwork or booklet inside to provide any information. I found this strange and unhelpful in setting it up.Also the Earth squeaks on its axis and I don't know how to correct that.

This will be used for many years…even into adulthood!
The size of the globe makes it easier to read the labels. The colors are vibrant. With the flip of the switch the globe goes dark and the various constellations are illuminated!Very impressive and easy to understand.

BEAUTIFUL GLOBE
Hmmm. Yes, very happy with the purchase. The globe is absolutely beautiful, larger than many others, and features intense bright colors. It is VERY shiny and attractive. We wanted a globe for our 4-year-old grandson that more-or-less showed the true colors of Earth's landscape features and did NOT show countries or political boundaries. This globe met those needs and more. I wish that it had raised topographical features (mountains), but it doesn't. They would probably get in the way of showing the constellations when the globe is lit which is truly beautiful. (That said, there is a glaring misspelling in the name of the constellation "Capricorn" which is spelled "Capriornus.") I am also tempted to give a four-star review, because there is NO WAY to replace the light if/when it goes out (which, based on other reviews, happens). With that in mind, we are really happy and would recommend this globe to others.

Arrived Broken But Was Easy To Fix
It arrived quickly but the base with the lights was completely broken off and rattling around inside the globe. Amazon put the box containing the globe in another box 3X the size with only a bit of paper. But also the rim on the base that the globe sits on is very, very thin, it needs to be a bit more thick. It was broken in more than a dozen tiny pieces.I decided it would be simpler and easier to fix it myself than return it. I had to rewire and solder it, then rebuild the base. It wasn't difficult. The globe it very nice, I don't think the pictures do it justice. The colours are great.

You will not regret it
My mother got me this for my birthday, and I'm 31 years old. Absolutely fantastic. I've been wanting a globe for decades, since I was a little kid and I used to play with the talking globes that would ask you questions about the world.I thought it was beautiful when I put it on the table.. I had no clue that it had light up constellations. I can't wait to see this thing at night, and it's so amazing.Really excited to support a family-run business. This is not an illuminated globe
I sent the following email to customer service [email protected] with not so much as a thank you for your business response.Dear customer service,The quality of your world globe is excellent, however I am very disappointed in the functions. I had an illuminated world globe for decades and enjoyed it for many years. I recently purchased (through Amazon) your globe for my daughter as a gift. She lives in another state and when it arrived she said it was good and she liked it. As she was coming to Washington to visit for a few weeks, I decided to buy one for the cabin up here so we could explore together. Once I found out the only illumination is the constellations I was very disappointed. When she arrived she said that her globe had a similar single-function switch. I can't imagine an illuminated globe that does not illuminate the world. Additionally, there is no reference as to what time of year the constellations are positioned on the globe surface. I saw many illuminated globes (most far cheaper), but yours, I felt, had the best detail. I guess a little research would answer the latter question, but the non illuminated earth for the price is very troubling. Not a thrilled customer, Stephen Turner, Evans, Washington.

IF YOU WANT A REASONABLY PRICED GOOD GLOBE, BUY THIS ONE!
This globe exceeded our expectations. The colors are very vivid and the constellations show up better with the room lights off. All the states of the USA are listed in the correct location but no state borders. There are borders between USA and Canada and USA and Mexico. The provinces names of Canada are in the correct location but there are no province borders. Major mountain ranges are denoted by separate colors and according to elevations. The continents show country borders along with names of countries and some major cities. The Strait of Hormuz is not identified by name but the Persion Gulf and Gulf of Oman are named. Longitude and Latitude, Arctic Circle in the northern hemisphere , and Antarctic Circle in Southern Hemisphere are marked along with equator and the International Dateline. The overall quality is high, the globe was fully assembled out of the box. Well packaged in double boxes and prompt delivery by the USPS. I would not hesitate to give it as a gift to anyone with a casual interest in “Where in the world would that be?” My husband and I use it to locate historical military battles in the World Wars series and to keep up with political headlines. We also took an Astronomy Course at our local community college and love the night time skies!
