Perfect Solution
I needed this tape not for intentional damage by my dogs, but for accidental scratches. The footboard of my old bed frame was scratched up because the dogs liked to stand on it and prop themselves up on it. When I got a nice new bed frame, I didn’t want them destroying it like the old one. After some research I tried this tape. It’s nice and thick and seems to stick well. I was able to measure and cut it to fit the flat part of the footboard where the dogs are likely to stand. I still intend to try to correct the behavior if it happens, but now my bed frame won’t get destroyed in the meantime.I did have to lay the claw shield tape out before cutting and weigh it down with books to flatten it out. It comes tightly curled up in the box, but it will flatten out nicely. As shown in the picture there are a few bubbles in my application, but that’s probably my fault (I’m not good at putting screen protectors on phones, either.) However, it’s not very noticeable even with the bubbles. I had to pull some of it up a couple times and make adjustments as I applied it, and it did not take the finish with it. I’m very happy with the product and it should work well for my purposes. I can see how it could get scratched off of a door by a determined dog, though.

Works well as described
Cut this to fit the outside surface of a new door that our dog kept scratching to be let in.Shield came rolled up; we laid it flat and placed several heavy books on it for a few days, and it flattened out well. Was easy to cut to the dimensions we needed.Application to the clean dry surface was easy; tends to bubble a bit, but not hard to smooth out.Durability so far is good--we've had it up for over a month. It has stayed in place through downpours. The Best thing is that it is not satisfying for the dog to scratch, so he has actually markedly cut back on the behavior!Door saved!

Keeps the cats from clawing our screen door
Our cats had been poking holes in our two sliding screen doors, which I had been repairing with screen tape, but we finally decided to get new screens installed. The cats promptly began poking holes in the new screens, so I ordered a Claw Shield for the most abused screen in the kitchen. It was just a bit too narrow to fit the entire screen, but I installed it anyway. The installation was easy: We took the screen door off of its rollers and laid it across a couple of saw-horses and smoothed the Claw Shield over the bottom quarter of the screen, after cutting it in half.I thought we'd also have to buy another Claw Shield and install it on the outer part of the screen, but the once the inner shield was in place, the cats stopped clawing altogether. It's been installed for almost a month, and shows no sign of peeling. It's been pretty rainy and I was worried about mold, but the plastic has stayed clean. Except for the size, I'm pretty happy with this product.

Works great
My cat is a destructive force. I tried the sprays, it worked for a day or so and then she would just back to destroying things. My couch was new and she kept destroying the corner. I bought this to prevent her from further damaging it. It may not be the most sightly thing in the world, but I really don't notice it and I'd rather have it on there versus a shredded corner. It also protects my screen door where she was jumping and hanging from the screen to be let into the house. She was able to claw through it in one area, but she seems to be slowly learning that howling is the preferred method to be let inside. I would have much more damage done to my home if I wasn't using this product. I would have much less if I just got rid of the cat, but I guess that's for another review.

Will peel paint
This seems okay for the price. However it will pull your paint off the walls if you attempt to pull it up. Depending on the color walls you have depends if you can see it or not. I have light grey with white trim and it’s 100% noticeable. I’m partly regretting putting it on my walls because I can notice it more than the scratch marks from my dog. I have no choice but to leave it up now because finding my exact color paint is impossible. Good luck.

Didn’t last
My dogs tore it off in about 30 seconds from our door frame. I tried pressing it on and letting it sit for a day. The first couple of scratches and it was ripped off and the dogs were tearing it up.

Just what I needed
I needed something to protect my windowsills from my Doberman. I wanted something clear that wouldn't slip or easily wear down. This product is perfect for that. It's a thick and durable material and easy to apply. It's also highly adhesive so you need to make sure it's positioned where you want it before you start pressing it down.

Great for separation anxiety
Works great for my dog with separation anxiety. I have mine in between my door frame and wall, and it looks like it's helping him from wanting to claw at that space and leave anymore holes and scratches. It will peel off paint when you go to remove them, just a fair warning if you live in an apartment
