Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, 5lb.

This is my absolute favorite store-bought pancake/waffle mix. I haven't bought Krusteaz pancake mix in years until very recently and I must say, it hasn't changed. Well, not to me anyway. I already made waffles with this mix and they were absolutely delicious. Nice, fluffy, and tasty. I definitely will be buying this again and I do recommend this product!

I keep this product in my freezer. It’s a sizable bag for just two people. Can whip up a batch in minutes and we like to add frozen berries or spices (a little cinnamon, nutmeg or grated citrus peel can be amazing). It’s also vegetarian friendly (and my adult children became vegans in college ) - if I throw in the Awesome Vermont Maple Syrup - everybody’s happy - and with a best friend living in Vermont, we get Grade B and specialized flavors that don’t make the shelves here (spicy jalapeño, bourbon and sea salt for example). Many fun meals per bag. Plus, support the family owned syrup manufacturers across Vermont.

Great mix

I know pancake flour is just that.... But right out of the bag, this product works great. Says to use water, but I personally use carbonated sugar free soda or beer. I do add a pinch of sugar and a pinch of salt. Pic Iv provided here is the real deal I made myself with this product. Works for me. Light, Fluffy, and very tasty.

Don't listen to the reviews complaining about packaging differences, it is their own fault for not reading the description. At the time of this review, the title clearly states packaging may vary. Personally I wanted the resealable bag but got the folded paper one instead. Yes, I'm disappointed but I knew there was a chance I wouldn't get the bag I wanted. My bag arrived in great condition and is as described. Makes decent pancakes and all for the price and my kids are willing to consume anything made with this mix. A+

No, it doesn't taste as good as buttermilk pancakes made from scratch, but it's pretty darn close, and for the convenience, it can't be beat. It's the best tasting pancake mix I've tried so far, and I love not having to worry about eggs and measuring cups. I don't even follow the recommended proportions, I just combine the mix and liquid (I prefer using milk instead of water) to get the desired consistency, add some oil and maybe a dash of sugar and cinnamon if I'm feeling fancy. Delicious pancakes in minutes!

Can't say enough good things about this mix!!!! And it's very easy to make!...:)

This is a very decent pancake mix. Very close to Aunt Jemima (currently renamed Pearl Milling), yet distinct on its own. I used a completely new carbon steel pancake pan to make it, straight out of the box, and the pancakes didn't stick. I was happy. The batter thickens with time considerably. I made batter from 2 cups of dry mix (240g) and 1 and 1/3 cup of plain water, and the first half of the batter baked into six perfect 4 inch pancakes, while the second half of the batter became too thick and needed to be diluted a bit. They all ended up fluffy and delicious anyways, browning evenly on both sides. For that alone Krusteaz formula deserves 5 stars.
