The Kahara Long Nose Pliers are an excellent plier for the cost. Equipped with a split ring nose, these pliers make changing out hooks an easy process. When handling sharp toothy creatures the long nose is an added feature that allows you to keep your fingers away from the teeth while getting the hook free. They are made from Stainless steel so they handle well for the saltwater angler too. Available with a good looking blue handle.

The pliers on these work just fine, it's the other components of the pliers.The center cutters have a hard time cutting mono/fluoro between 6-40lbs. After you cut your line the cuts are very ugly. If you are using a small hook with light line and have to double through the eye the blunt cut it makes can sometimes be a hassle getting it through the second time. Lastly the split ring tip doesn't work well on small split rings. I have trouble opening up anything below a size 6 for owner hyper wires.
