Stinks Like A Twice-Killed Oppossum, But Effective!
I bought this oil after reading about its use as a homeopathic treatment for scabies. When I first opened the bottle, my nose was assaulted by a stench I'd never encountered. Applying it was simple enough, but every time my arm came within a foot of my nose, I all but reched from the smell. It does, however, seem to have the same effect on mites, because after a week of determined application, they gave up the ghost and left me in peace.

Didn't work for insects - at least for me
First let me say I've tried this as a natural insect repellent. I wasn't at all impressed. The waxy layer never did dissolve. The insects weren't affected.I've been using BT for years and it works much, much better.I'm sure there are those that feel Neem oil is effective, but my results didn't show that to be the case.

NOT A LIQUID, may not even be usable.
This has not come to a liquid form on even the warmest of days, next to a heater, NOTHING. I honestly have been afraid to even melt it down and use it because I think there is something growing inside. NOT like the picture at all.

Read the research, learn how to use it, be safe, and enjoy because this is one of nature's true gifts
I cannot believe this stuff. I know there is a lot of woo with it and I would NOT recommend taking anything used as an insecticide internally like some people do. However I used this in my own concoction to treat my skin when it's breaking out and I am so amazed. Also I use the neem oil on my nails and they are healthier for it. This stuff really does fight any kind of fungus better than tea tree oil. I would use it on hands and feet and for blemishes. I combine several things on the face so it's diluted and I don't use it all of the time but it has helped my skin soooo much. It's also been great for nails and cuticles. It smells like garlic, and if you get it near your lips wipe it off... it tastes awful and I know some hippies like to eat it but unless you have pinworms or something I'd avoid that. Use this for safe practical things like nails and acne, but do NOT ingest it or put it on your soft mucous membranes. It's a great product and it really works, but some people take it too far. That being said this is some GOOD oil, I mean it is very very pure and so I can use this bottle to make several others for specific uses like my nails or for treatment of scalp or breakout.

I'm sure it works well I just couldn't handle the aroma
My star review is because the item is as described and was shipped very quickly. However, I used it once after a shower and jumped right back in the shower to wash it off. The smell was so strong and so unappealing I couldn't stand it. I have a sensitive nose and this stuff was just too much. It has a savory smell- not something I want on my body. I described it to my fiance as "like if curry had a really unfortunate cousin". I'm wondering if the term "Indian lilac" is used sarcastically/ironically? I was looking to replace tea tree oil as it's pricey and it's smell is also very strong, but tea tree at least smells like an herb or plant. I immediately purchased a bottle of tea tree oil and will be giving the neem oil away to someone who wants to try it.
