I wanted a canteen that was 100% stainless steel, looked nice, and could keep hot coffee insulated and hot throughout the day. This achieves all those things . However, the reason I can't give this bottle 5 stars is because it will leak from the top if the liquid is sloshing around (I keep it in my backpack side pocket) UNLESS you tighten the lid super tight. This is what I've learned to do, and it's not a big deal at all. I still really like the bottle and continue to use it daily. My instinct is that the sacrifice of 100% stainless steel is some less sealing at lid. (** since this post i have noticed a plastic o-ring tucked away in the cap. am not so disappOverall, would recommend bottle to younger people who are stronger (don't need to be the hulk, just need to give it an extra oomph) and might not recommend to the very young or old, more frail people who this might be a real issue for.

I bought this because I was tired of replacing my daughters snack cup for school that inwould have to freeze all night to keep cool until snack time. This is great! It doesn't sweat on her other snacks, no more freezing, it stays cold all day long until she comes home, and it's easy for her to open and close. Great quality!
