Holds up well, years of use
I've had these clippers now for 5 years. I use them about monthly to cut my son's hair and, lately, to trim my husband's thick beard. They have held up well with all the use and were great to give my young son a haircut when he freaked at the sound of the clippers nearing his head. They are actually slightly louder than my Wahl clippers once running, but they don't have the same "thunk" when you first start them up. I think that's a huge help to the little ones... It doesn't scare them right at the start.The included cape is a bit large for kids and the strings are too short to tie a bow around an adult neck, but with a binder clip you're good to go.The scissors are amazing and are still sharp after approximately 60 little boy haircuts, top of head only. The guides are in millimeters so you have to look up the conversions but once you have them, you're all set. I love that there's an adjuster on the handle to go between the guide sizes, too.The fact that it's battery powered is huge!!!! I cut my son's hair outside when it's nice so I don't have to sweep up afterward and usually only charge the clippers after 3-4 cuts.Long story long, I love this clipper set and will be so sad if it ever dies. That said, the way we're going I don't expect that to be any time soon. Highly recommend!!!Note: before my son I had no idea how to cut boy's hair. I watched some YouTube videos and used these clippers and learned as I went. Easy to use, even for a novice!
