I have never found primers to be as effective as advertised. Never. Some were good. Some were really bad… like… just no. It was with very low expectations that I ordered this product after a recommendation from Allure. Let me tell you, this person is sold. Hard. I wear makeup for every day but also for being on camera and on stage for lectures and presentations. This primer is versatile and works exactly as advertised.For every day use, this is a quick way to even out my aging skin (I’m 53) without looking or feeling like I am wearing a lot of anything at all. If I decide to brush on some foundation, I use much less product that I ever have before and still have a great mat finish and even tone to my skin. The finish by itself is light and feels like nothing on my skin. Even after wearing all day, my skin doesn’t feel like I need to scrub to get clean.For more long wearing days where I will be on camera for lectures, demos, classes, and meetings, this primer keeps my makeup in place and the colors and tones last all freaking day. Seriously. Nothing slides around and there are no cracks in my makeup. I always look fresh. I found myself popping in for my usual reapplication and found that I still looked fresh and ready to go.The KEY is to follow the directions. I wash and moisture my face, then, after my moisturizer has had time to set, I apply the primer. Then I go about the rest of my routine giving the primer time to set. I believe the packaging suggests around 15 minutes. In other words, time to put on your deodorant, have some more coffee, and pick out your clothes for the day. This set time is important for longer lasting wear. When I’m in a hurry, I will apply the primer then apply my base right away basically mixing them. Whatever the time limit, I only have to use about a pea sized amount for full and even coverage.So, yeah, I’m sold on this particular primer. It doesn’t take a big ol’ glob for full, shear coverage, and it works like a primer should to prep my skin for makeup whether I’m just around the house, on camera, or doing a last minute look for that Zoom meeting that just won’t wait.
