WIFI Smart Outlet Timing Switch Wireless Socket, Remote Control On/Off Electronics Power Supply by Smart phone APP Anywhere Anytime

So I generally don't like reviews that are just as vague as the instructions which are complained about herein. Thus, let me shed some light in regards to getting this product to work perfectly. The product comes with small instructions that direct you to scan a barcode with your smartphone which directs you to download the android app (No iPhone app shown as available, though you might find a generic if you look). Anyway, the product is by "AuYou", but the American app which works with this is actually called "AuKey". Use this app, and it works perfectly when following the rest of the instructions. Hope this helps everyone, as this device is a third of the price of most of these wireless outlet switches, and takes up less real estate as well.

Was weary about getting this item with all the negative feedback.... since a bunch of people complained about the app not existing, I checked the Apple App Store and it was there called Waloo (it downloaded and worked so I figured why not?)The product has been working great! Adding it to my network and adding the device to the app were super easy (it did all the work)The cool thing, which I didn't even realize, is that it actually controls the device from your phone even when your phone is not connected on the network. Meaning, I can control the outlet even when I'm on LTE and not connected to home wifi. I wonder if that poses any security risk to the network...?

I would love to say something good about these but I can not actually find the app on the App Store... once you scan the QR code it says it is not available in the U.S App Store. I can change to the China App Store but it also says it's not available..... so I have no idea if this product works or not.. but until this works it definitely gets one star

Does exactly what it is supposed to. Attractive design and small footprint. I agree with other, instructions are in quite a small font, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. I also had trouble with the QR code, but referencing another review, I found the Aukey app. Once installed, app and outlet work great. I was a little frustrated that the two devices I wanted to control don't seem to work as they reset when power is switched. Meaning, my slow cooker and my space heater do not work with this device. However, it does control the power to the outlet flawlessly, so if you need a simple On/Off, this is perfect. I now use it for a simple light switch, nice to be able to control lights from my phone. Still trying to connect to Alexa Smart Home, so if anybody know which app or 'Skill' works with this device please advise. All said, this item does exactly what it claims to do at a great price. I will update if I figure the Alexa connection out.

I also cannot find the app. I have tried for over an hour and cannot find the app or connect to my new phone, Do not buy this product. The instructions are poor and writen so small you will need to magnify them to read

I usually don't give me time to write a review for the product. But since I read the reviews, after I bought the product, I thought the product has not been fairly reviewed.The products works fine and it's very easy to setup. You just need to follow the instructions. A few important points1. YOU MUST BE CONNECTED to 2.4G WIFI network. This product does not work on 5Ghz WIFI network.2. When you try to setup the plug, make sure to press the "ON" button for 5 second until it starts to blink slowly. This puts the plug in the setup mode.3. It also works over the internet. The difference is when you're on WIFI, it responds quickly, but when you're not on the same WIFI network as the plug, i.e. cell network or someone else's WIFI, the app takes MAC address of the plug you want to manage (turn on/off), sends it to their server. The server then searches the internet for your device and find a route for it and then sends the instructions to it. This takes 5-15 seconds depending on the speed of the networks.4. The app is "Smart Plug+" from AUKEY. I tested this on an Android only.In my opinion this product works fine, looks nice and it's quite a value for it's price. It could use a better user manual and a better website for the product in English instead of Chinese

It works with Aukey Smart Plug + app for iOS. I am able to set a timer. Programming was not incredibly hard. It took a couple tries but I was able to connect and configure in less than 30min. Sometimes I get an error of "network delay" when I try to connect remotely. It is very reliable when my iPhone is on the same wifi network with the plug. I mainly use it for the timer and fairly satisfied with that. I would add a star if I could connect more reliably when I'm remote.For $10 I wasn't looking for connecting to Alexa or other advanced functionality.

Worked as expected, pretty easy to setup - was up and running in 5 minutes. Control software on android is reasonable and has features for the following:- Remote on/off- Schedule- Timed repetition on/of- Random on/off as house security feature- some others which I have not testedAlso did not have issues connecting to N wifi, but not sure if on 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, many small appliances do have an issue with it, but this one worked totally fine.
