This is awesome for hanging on your patio slider handle and attaching to the glass. You don't need to use the velcro fasteners at all. It sticks to the glass just like a vinyl cling. This keeps our dogs from scratching up the wood when they see someone or are impatient with opening the door. They were really scratching up the wood. I highly recommend this product. Very good quality and is a lifesaver to protect your items from pet toenail scratches.

We adopted three stray cats last year, and while they've been good about the litter box, they're not so great about using scratching posts and pads. They've focused primarily on the ends of my new couch. I've tried several completely useless tactics, like redirecting them to the scratching post, cat claw covers, and even guilt. None of this worked, so I ordered these pieces of plastic for the ends of the couch. They're not difficult to install, but the pins are cheap, and two of the heads broke off while I was screwing them in. The company included extras, which was appreciated. The pins screw into the fabric and cushioning of your couch. I'm still weighing the fact that I placed 12 purposeful holes in the couch, vs the ones the cats made scratching. The cats have been deterred from scratching that area of the couch, and aren't smart enough to realize they can move two inches over and continue their path of destruction. Hopefully they won't figure this out anytime soon. In the meantime I am weighing the benefits of living with an old lady plastic covered intact couch vs a shredded expensive cat toy. My only real concern with this product is 1) the holes I put in the fabric with the pins and 2) if my cats will chew the pins off, and cause a huge problem when they eat them or we step in them. They did manage to chew 6 buttons off of a tufted chair, so this is a real possibility. If your cats aren’t terribly smart this will probably work for you.

This has been a great wall saver. My hiper little pup was scraping up my wall when ringing his bell to go out.Super easy to cut and place on the wall. Looks nice and the thick plastic will last for many years.

I can see this product working well with heavily padded furniture corners such as couches of recliner chairs. However, this doesn't work well on my mid century modern chairs as the corners do not have much padding. The reason for this is that the upholstery hooks used to secure the laminate strip to the furniture doesn't go all the way in, and I worry my cat will pull them out and cause further damage to the chairs. I will say, that he does avoid the arm chair where I have these installed, but he's now using the other arm chair for scratching.

This Wall protector is adhered to the wall , with adhesive velcro dots.At my house after barely a month they started slipping off the wall and the wall protector slides down onto the floor

Came across this little gem while searching for a wall protector for something else. Since I have 2 messy cats that seem to fling stuff everywhere when using the litter box, I decided to give these a try. Very impressed with the size, heavy duty vinyl quality, and the velcro adhesion system. We have an extra large litter box that sits in the corner of our laundry room, so I bought 2, which I have overlapped to extend along both sides. Installation was pretty simple. Be sure to read the instructions so you get the black sides of the velcro attached to your wall and the white sides attached to the vinyl sheet. I attached all 8 velcro stickers to the vinyl first, using 4 spaced across the top of the sheet and 4 across the bottom. When I was ready to attach the vinyl to the wall, I removed the backing from the black velcro on the other side of each dot and simply pressed the vinyl in place on the wall. The whole process took just a few minutes and looks great.

The screws you use to hold in place don’t stay on. Do not recommend

This is a good quality thick plastic. I needed it for a sliding glass door so I cut this in 2 lengthwise and used the second piece for our pantry door. It works great. It is thick enough to withstand the paws of 2 large dogs without issue. My dogs will scratch at the sliding glass door when they want to be let out & at the pantry door when it gets close to feeding time. I'm not sure how effective this will be against a dog that is aggressively trying to get out the door. The plastic itself seems pretty strong & thick but they would be able to rip it off the velcro if that is what they wanted to do. But for doors that are getting scratched up from what I would consider normal wear in a life with dogs, this is perfect. Once i replace the screen on our screen door, I may get 2 more to protect them as well.
