In order to help maximize the reliability of the FXP propeller all FXP propellers have changed over to a pressed-in, brass-splined rubber hub. This hub helps to absorb the impacts created in high engine mount, surface-piercing applications. Because of this change, FXP propellers no longer require the use of a separate hub kit or the installation of any different or additional hardware when used with Yamaha V MAX SHO outboards.
