I am using this for an engine room camera on my boat, works great!

This is the third cam that I've purchased for the backup/hitch cam on my pickup. The first two, over a period of years, simply gave up the ghost. Something I have noticed is that the second cam provided an improved picture, and this one provides an even better picture than that one, so I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Night Vision is BAD (see picture) as others said, SOME units have WHITE spot. Day time works Good. I would return the unit but the cost to ship back is almost the same as the price of the unit. **Update *** The seller SPEEDILY corrected the problem and now I have Great DAY & Night view! Will post new pics ASAP.

Bought one of these a while back and I have no complaints about that camera. Picture quality is nice, night vision is surprisingly decent for the price and size of the camera. Very bright LEDs with a long range - even better than some other more expensive cameras I've tried. However, something has changed with the build quality of these cameras recently. The night vision now has a halo effect from the glare of the LEDs reflecting back into the camera off of the glass. This obscures about half of the image giving you only a small hole in the middle of perfect clarity. I would avoid these cameras until this issue has been resolved. Given that flaw is addressed, these are some of the highest quality cameras you can get in this price range. ----- UPDATE: I've been in contact with the seller (who has been very helpful and nice!) and I've discovered the issue. There's a foam shroud around the lens that is simply seated too low and doesn't make contact with the glass (see photo). All that's needed is to undo the four screws and remove the housing, pull the foam up about halfway, then reseat the housing. This will compress the glass against that foam, solving the IR light bleed. The seller is going to work with manufacturing to resolve the issue. But for those living with the issue already - it's an easy fix. Revising from two to four stars because that little fix isn't that big of a deal to me, especially given how much these cameras rock besides that issue!

We have not yet installed this new one. We got it to replace the exact same model we installed 3 years ago. We keep the RV out of the weather when not on the road. Water got into the unit while travelling and the camera quit working. The only reason we bought this exact unit was for ease of installation and it would fit on the existing bracket without drilling more holes in the RV.

Overall, I am happy with quality of picture from this camera. I like that there are no guide lines. I use this camera on a light duty wheel lift tow truck. After buying a wireless camera and monitor that I was not satisfied with, I was pleased that this item worked the way I needed it to. Makes my job much easier and safer being able to see behind me while loading and unloading vehicles.

Fast shipping, came in a box. Install - very simple, just screw on the bracket, mount the camera and plug it in. However the hardware for the camera and hood is one size to big and did not fit. Had screws that fit so not a huge deal. Camera - day time - decent image - can see behind the RV just fine. BUT night time - terrible! Yah, the LED glow red but the image has circles around it, and can only see about 20% and that in the center only. The old corroded, fogged lens, faded crapped out camera we replace had way better night time performance, even in bad shape. Bought some small side cameras at the same time, and they have no night vision feature and they are still better than this camera. Will replace with something else.

Extremely heavy duty camera much better as a top or side mount camera. Definitely water resistant. Have it on my F-250. Eventually I'm gonna move it up higher because I feel it's potential is not being used under the bumper.

This camera was good at the start but after several car washes it now is showing water in the lens and not the best now and will need to replace it

I'm giving it 5 stars, even though on the camera that came said it was back-up & showed on web that it had the grid lines, No!, but you can work around that, just need to know your-self how far you are, ( that would be a given when you got your Lic to drive ) the other- any green tree no matter what I did would Not come Green, they all stayed that purple color, No biggy just had to put in your mind that they are green, I also got the monitor and a spare camera ( forward camera ) they call it to use as me rear view mirror , & it all works great, can see behind when you use a canopy, camper, or anything that block your rear view.

Works well. Nice clear picture, and cable was long enough for interior routing in my short (25') class C RV.

Stopped working and when I asked to return it I was told that I would have to pay to send it back as they are not obligated to send prepaid labels within Canada. worst customer service ever.
