It would have been difficult surviving chemotherapy without this enzyme blend. I tried several other brands, including some of the most ridiculously expensive ones on the market, but this one worked the most thoroughly and reliably. During chemo the problem is that chemo actually stops the production of digestive enzymes, while simultaneously killing all gastrointestinal bacteria and increasing the production of stomach acids; all of these actions lead to unbelievably painful acid reflux and an inability to put sufficient amounts of food into the body before one becomes "full". This miserable state of affairs is alleviated, to varying degrees, by taking digestive enzymes with every intake of food, snacks included. Udo's Advanced Adult Enzyme Blend is the best, better than other Udo's products as well as better than other brands. Some of the other Udo's provide probiotics as well, but I never found that to make any difference; when I needed to supplement probiotics, during the most intense period of chemo, I took Nature's Way Primadophilus Optima.I had to start buying it on Amazon because my local stores stopped carrying it. The other brands just weren't cutting it for me. Amazon is pretty much the only place that I can get it now. I hope they don't stop making this blend.I'm past chemo now, and back to my normal "stomach of iron" digestive capacity. But I still occasionally use this enzyme blend. This is just my own experience, but I have found that, at first, when I am "learning" to deal with a new food, if I take these enzymes with it the first few times I eat the food, I can thereafter eat that food without using any enzyme supplement. One example is tofu, which I used to not eat because I didn't know how to prepare it in a palatable way. When I learned how to prepare it tastily, then I had the problem that I didn't know how to digest it. A few meals accompanied by Advanced Adult seemed to get me over that hump, and now I can eat tofu without problems. I have theories as to why it might work this way, but I won't burden you with my speculations, which could be totally wrong. Just reporting my experience.

I'm not a scientist nor will I pretend that I know anything about bio chemistry but what I can say is that I think this stuff works. I feel way less bloated after eating my steaks and other big meals. IMO this is the better brand from the many out there.

I have a crummy digestive system and have for years. I started taking this about 9 months ago and have really noticed a difference. You take one capsule with each meal. I also suffer from migraines and since I have been taking this, my migraines have been reduced by about two thirds and they are not so severe. I would not have associated my crummy digestion to my migraines, but obviously they were connected.With all the preservatives in our food these days, our bodies need help eliminating these fake foods out of our system. This is a very good product that I will not be without.
