A serious approach to being funny
When I picked up Clown: The Physical Comedian, I was curious to see what my former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey classmate had written. After a few chapters, I was impressed. Almost 40 years of performing, studying, directing, and teaching physical comedy squeezed into less than 300 pages! Some of the exercises and games I remembered, others were new to me. All of it was thoughtful, creative, detailed, and deliberate--just like one of Joe's performances. I only wish I had a resource like this when I was starting out my career. Bravo, Payaso!

A must have
With the ever increasing library of clown instruction, Joe's book is a must have for anyone interested in clown and clowning. Read it once. Read it twice. Read it three times, like me. The book truly inspires to get you off the couch and chasing the silly. A very important work. Loved it.
