Q: what size to get for my 9lb 5 month old Shih tzu ?

My Pom is 7lbs and a medium is perfect for her. I recommend a large, as yours is a baby and I think would already max out the medium.

Q: This looks like it is very secure with the straps that clip around the waist. Would this work well for jogging?

If you have a small dog, it would be fine for jogging. Mine is 15 pounds, so he sticks out the top too much, so it would make me nervous.

Q: How would you secure this backpack to a motorcycle?

I wouldn’t. I can’t even keep my pup in it when I’m wearing it like a regular pack. I regret buying it.

Not enough air flow, it does get very hot inside. My lil guy starting panting/over heating. No longer using it.
