Exact Same Book as Indian Harvest!
This is an amazingly beautiful cookbook. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is the same as his book - Indian Harvest!! I bought that book first, and was so excited when I saw that he had another solely vegetarian cookbook because I really loved Indian Harvest. The only difference is the physical size of the book. Hymns from the Soil is much larger than Indian Harvest, but I went through page by page, and all the prints (recipes and pictures) are the same - at least in the Bread section that I compared thoroughly! Huge disappointment, as neither of these books are cheap. However, buying one of the two is definitely worth it. Just decide if you want a typical cookbook size (Indian Harvest) or one significantly larger (more like a coffee table photo type book).

Fantastic culinary journey!
Absolutely loved this one! The book is a revelation! I love how Chef Vikas explores the little nuances of every humble ingredient we use in our daily cooking. The pictures are enough to send any one into raptures of delight.
