The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their father´s death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justin´s patented J-Flex® Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the ¨Standard Of The West Since 1879¨.

Wonderful boots
My dislikes don't apply to my actual review of the item, but the top of the boots where the pull straps are, are very rough initially so I recommend tube socks for a bit to wear them down unless you want some decent chaffing (right boots right tab actually broke skin). Also theyre not waterproof. I wasn't looking for any waterproofing and it didn't say in its description or name that is was, but I stepped in a puddle of water that was just barely able to lick my boot sole threads and my insoles were almost instantly soaked and remained so for 8 hours so if youre going to get your feet wet and don't want to read the description. Other than 2 dislikes of unavoidable things im 150% satisfied, these boots have survived everything ive thrown at them and once the tops are worn down just a tad they feel great against bare skin with low socks on to reduce heat, A+++++!!!!!

Ok boots for the money
Price point was the selling point for me on these boots. At $50-$75 cheaper than other boots of this nature I thought what the heck. Worn nearly every day for a year working construction by weekday, cow pasture by evening/weekend and whatever else I was doing. After roughly a year the leather busted near the sole. I've owned a few different brands of pull on boots (ariat, red wing, Tony lama) but this was the first time I've seen the actual leather bust open. Wouldn't recommend for hard use.

Buy one size down
These look very nice and feel quite sturdy. I'm sure they will hold up quite well for my physical labor job. However, they are WAY too big. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe in basically everything, even my work boots. But these were so large that the steel toe was barely covering my big toe. I had to return and get a 7 1/2. The color in Amazon's picture is pretty spot on to the true color.

Owned for a year and still as good as new!
I bought these boots for my boyfriend last year, I am amazed at how much he wears them and how they still look great, He says they are comfortable and fit him perfect, they are not to heavy, and the steel toe feature comes in handy. If these boots ever do get to worn down which they haven't yet, then I would definitely order him another pair. Definitely worth the money. If you are looking for a boot too wear in everyday, work atmospheres, with good quality, fit and comfortable then I would recommends these boots.

Order at least a 1/2 size lower than your normal shoe size
Good boots, but a struggle to find the right fitment. I own these in steel toe, and non-steel toe. I wear a size 9.5 regular shoe and combat boot. I finally got the sizing figured out after a few pairs, and in the steel toe version I wear a 8.5 EE; I'm assuming this accounts for the extra toe room in a steel toe western boot. In the non-stick toe version, I wear a 9. They fit well (once you get it down), and seem to last. I'm a machinist, and am on my feet a minimum of 8 hours per day, with no issues to speak of. I hope this helps.

Made in China, quality not as good as expected
The quality of the boots is not what my husband expected with the Justin brand. They do not seem to be especially well made and are kind of clunky looking. For the price, they did not seem like a good value. I thought "imported" meant they were made in Mexico like a lot of other boots and then the quality would most likely have been better. Disappointing.

Great work boots!
My husband purchased these for work boots as he works in the aerospace industry, welding and building large tools. He has wide feet so he often has a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for him to wear all day at work, and he really likes these and has been wearing them for about a week now with no complaints of his feet hurting. It was great that they also come in steel toe so he can wear them as cowboy boots, or as work boots, which ever he chooses.
