It works pretty good after 3 months
I really wonder how long it work. How small of a leak can it find. I been using inficon base model. It been working. I had leak I just could not find in 404a cooler. My buddy found it with a better inficom detector. Looked around. The price point had me give it a chance. It found some pretty small.leaks. Been pretty satisfied.

Works great!
I am changing my ways. I don't trust the traditional bubbles to find a leak. This detector sniffed out the leak. Because the leak was on the side of the fitting the bubble solutions would drain down before forming bubbles. Which was giving me a false negative. After confirming the leak with this detector, I properly applied the bubble solution and could get it bubble up briefly. This will save you tons of time and headache. If you're on the fence of getting a CO2 detector, then just buy this one. It comes in a tough case, a rechargeable battery with a very good life, and it works great!

Quality tools at a fantastic price point. Can't go wrong with elitech.
For nearly 5 years, Elitech has been my "goto" for quality tools in the HVAC trade. I used to always buy fieldpeice and testo for everything because quality is imporant. but now I buy what I can in elitech, and what elitech doesn't make, I purchase the big name brand tools. Through my experience, i can confidently place elitech on par with the higher-end name brand test equipment. Quality tools at an affordable price point.l) you Elitech.

Would give 4.5 stars
Honestly this is fantastic to use and it has found leaks for me a bunch of times. I do recommend the product as it is a good price for what you get.>Tl;dr: very good for price, but be very wary of plastic sensor that goes on the end of the probe. Would be 5 stars hands down if not for that.-basically, I do mainly residential HVAC with occasional commercial work.-when I first started using it I felt uneasy on how to proceed with it, but after learning how best to use it I learned it's actually a very smooth operation.--I use IR mode in high and I find a general source spot (high is very sensitive!) once I find a general spot, I swap over to heated diode and find the actual spot. IR has medium and low settings and sometimes I'll use them, but often I find myself using IR on High then using heated diode since it goes from 000-999 and thus since I'm in the general area already I can use the numbers to find where it's at as it pretty easily. (ie: in spot, reading 50.. sure could be there but very small, let me go around and OH it's now reading 200! Found it!)+the main complaint I have and it's a decent one, is the sensors that screw onto probe arms are plastic while the arm is metal. Sometimes I have to push my detector into rough spots (like where lineset goes into wall cavity, or tight spots behind a head-in unit for minisplit) and I have had them break on me as its very cheap plastic. My set came with I believe 6 and I'm down to just 1 and have to be very gentle with it now.I do recommend this. It's much more accessible than ones you have to plug in, into an outlet cause let's be honest a lot of air handlers/condensers don't have outlets so you have to use a cheater whip; let alone if you have to follow copper line through attic for a spot (like how one time with a roofing nail!) Can't use a plug in one for that as they won't reach without extension cables. Wireless leak detectors get a bad rep from people I have worked with, but this guy is an awesome tool. Just a shame about the tip.

This does the job! Very sensitive to R410a - Finds even small leaks and has Infrared mode too.
Worked great for me - found leaks easily, but to pinpoint actual location, there's no substitution for dunking pressurized coil in tank to find leak area. This gets you real close, but If I have to repair instead of replace, I remove the coil and "dunk" it if possible before cutting any fins away for soldering.
