great heater but CO2 problem
Like the unit. it heats up the room really fast and installation was fairly straight forward. But if you are DYI person makes sure you get a converter for the gas pipe from the unit. The size connector that comes with the unit is not ½”. Also get a flex gas pipe that is 4 feet or longer.I also agree with many reviewers about the blower. It’s loud and doesn’t seem to do much. I placed a air purifier next to the unit so the hot air can circulate better in the room. I have a 650 sqft room and it heats it up pretty quick in #2 setting. Only issue is CO2 level. After using the unit I am getting some burning in my eye so did some research on it. It turns out it’s related to CO2 level this unit give out. I purchased a CO and CO2 monitors. I’m getting 0 for the Carbon monoxide but carbon dioxide is an issue. if I don’t have any windows or vent running CO level shoots up to 1400 PPM from 650 PPM in 10 min. that is causing my eyes to burn and it’s not recommend to be in a room when CO level is over 1000 PPM. As I write this review I just turned on the heater and have a small window open and vent running. The COis at 642 PPM. The temp is now 61 degrees. In 4 min the CO rose to 842 PPM and temp is at 61. Mild burning of my eyes now. after 6 min CO went up to 915PPM and 61 degrees. 10 min 970 PPM 61 degrees. After 13 min CO went up to 1043 PPM and rising.... Through out the test the humidity level has been 16%. Now my eyes are burning and mild headache. Anyone else getting this as well? Does anyone have a solution for CO build up? after 30 min CO level goes near 1900 PPM. i tried to leave the window open but if i do that whats the point. if anyone out there has a solution for this greatly appreciate your input to get rid of the CO level. but the CO2 level is zero. i might have to go back to electric heater if this keeps up. Update on 03/17 - works like a charm but it still smells when on and CO issue. have to leave a door and window cracked when using it. otherwise you get a headache....

Dangerous
This heater heats well and easy to put together but please be aware of the danger. Once heater warms room to temperature and shuts off, there is a small amount of raw gas released and as it continues doing this every time it turns on and off, it will set off all your gas alarms and could lead to explosion. I had to open garage doors quickly as it smelled like gas big time and looked into why and found this to be the case. Maybe my unit is broken, I don't know, but it only happens after main burner shuts off.

Excellent value, very efficient
A 90k BTU boiler went out in a building that was being remodeled. (Not occupied.) With the help of a couple box fans to move the warm air around, I was able to keep the entire 2-story block building above 40°F for several weeks, even with outside temps near zero. No issues with pilot going out. Only drawback is thermostat isn't very accurate, and starts too high to use this for backup freeze protection - seems like lowest setting is around 50°F?

great quality, easy install and functions perfectly
I have this in my garage which is around 800 sqft. It runs quietly and keeps the temperature a comfortable 65*F inside when it's single digits outside. I've had it now for two winters and have no complaints. I would definitely recommend this heater.

fan is worthless
I probably could have gotten by with a 20,000 btu. This 30,000 heats up the garage well, and quickly. the garage is about 300 sq. ft. It has a peaked ceiling with a ceiling fan, so I guess I didn't need the separate fan that i bought with the unit. The fan is almost useless, that's why I gave 4 stars. The separate directions how to install the fan are totally useless. It says to plug something in from the fan to the unit. there is nothing to plug in. Rather, a gadget with 2 holes that has to be attached with 2 screws. It's almost impossible to do. I managed with a "stubby" screwdriver. There is no room for a full size screwdriver.
