The media could not be loaded. Updating my review because Govee reached out to me and offered to send me a new light bar product at no charge. They sent me the largest one with 9 parts! The other one I had was sent from Amazon and I had been sent a used one. This was evident by both the Govee manufacturing packaging & they weren’t all stuck together like the previous one. I still had anxiety clipping it together - however, using the provided clear adhesive tape to keep them together while you build your design is 100% helpful. Initially, I had another issue then resolved it by updating the app. The only problem I encountered was once you level each one and attempt to put on the wall with the adhesive, it’s stuck there. You have to attach the next one & hmmm, you have to pull up the one you just adhered to the wall to add the next peice to your puzzle. . I did keep a few together while placing on the wall which helped. But, there’s still that little problem because with 9 parts, there was no way to put the design up in one piece without two people . Maybe I didn’t follow the directions properly? I use all Govee lighting in my home. Thank YOU for sending me a replacement that actually works! Truly appreciate the customer support from Govee.For reference, I bought the very large & very expensive 9 rods & 4 corners light package. I have other Govee products which I like & they work no problem. This purchase, not so much. I opened the box to find all of the rods sticking to the cardboard that was protecting them (there is adhesive on the backs)- so I had to rip them off. Looks like they were used because there seems to be paint stuck on them or is the cardboard from packaging.Second, putting together this large plastic light isn’t easy. They do not click/lock into place properly and keep coming undone. It took me almost an hour to get them together because they kept detaching on the floor.Third, only half of the lights work. I’ve tried numerous ways to get them to all function and they won’t. When I first put it together I had 2 that didnt work. I left it alone, frustrated and came back to it to find half not turning on. For this price point, I expect a more seamless experience & for the product to actually work. I’m sending it back because I don’t have patience or time to mess around with a faulty product poorly made. Save your money, do NOT buy the large one. Perhaps the smaller ones are easier to work with.

I have allot of Govee products; bulbs, strips, rope, etc, but this one is definitely my favorite yet. The bars work great. The installation process took a little time, but it was well worth it. The adhesive on these is stronger than the others, or so it seems.I do wish Govee would sell parts alacart though. I got the bigger kit which has 4 turn pieces, a single wrap piece, and a corner piece. I managed to use all but the corner piece in my design, but it would be nice to be able to add extra turns, wraps, corners etc without having to buy another kit should one piece fail for whatever reason.Also, they should have a build your own kit, so you can design your shape how you want and have the right pieces to make it happen without extra pieces that just end up going to waste.

Okay, so for most of us that buy LED lights on Amazon, were often disappointed for various reasons, we all could list several. Outside of a couple small cons, these have to to be some of the best lighting setups I've picked up so far, and I couldn't be happier with the look in my new studio as I build it!I ended up getting the 8-section kit and hooked it right up, outside of the app downloading and pairing the lights to my wifi, you almost don't even need the instructions, it's pretty self explanatory.PROS:STRONG - I dropped these at least 5 or 6 times from about 4ft while piecing this together and lifting it up to my wall. (I did this alone at home with no extra hands, more on that later)BRIGHT - So these are insanely bright, and I mean that in the best way possible, the whole room glows and can be easily seen through my shutters in my appartment. Ut the brightness itself is very adjustable.EASY SETUP - Setup and piecing it together is easy enough alone, but be prepared to have to measure/mark to keep it lined up correctly. Keep in mind the adhesive they use is very strong, and may take some paint with them I'd you peel them from the walls after install.PRICING: For what I paid, I expected less than what I got for performance, and wad blown away by all of the custom presets it already has, as well as custom animations you cam basically make yourself, although it's a bit limited in some aspects, hardly worth complaining a out thoughCONS:INSTALL DIFFICULTY WHEN ALONE- This is one of my only complaints, and it's not really even the companies fault, moreso just a warning for those getting this. Measure and mark twice, install once. This is a big set and being able to plan out where it lands on the wall is a big deal if you wanna avoid peeling wasting time.All in all, this LED kid was more than I asked for, and is now part of my music production inspiration, as well as the background for my livestreams and online training videos for work. I can't wait to get another kit, because I intend to!
