Laser cut parts are excellent, maintaining a lot of detail.
Having not built a wood model ship in over 20 years, I was impressed with the quality and detail on the wooden parts. Directions are sufficient but may be tough for a beginner to understand. It will be months before complete. Sure it will be fine.

Not an easy build.
I’ve been building wooden ship models for almost 30 years. Some from scratch and others from kits. In some ways, it’s an easy build, in other ways not at all. The hull planking was easy, but the canon carriages were difficult, smaller than my little fingernail. I wouldn’t recommend it for children. They’ll get frustrated and give up.

Don’t do it!!!! Missing pieces, miss labeled pieces
Junk. The instructions are junk. In two languages. Everything breaks super easy. It’s not my first one, but it’s my first using the kind, and I’m very disappointed. And on top of that everything was miss labeled and missing pieces..

Worth the price!
This is my first ship, so I’m not sure if it’s for beginners or advanced. The instructions are somewhat vague in places. You really have to pay attention to every detail. The quality is very nice and I can’t wait to see if I can actually build this.

Absolutely the worst set of instructions ever!
The quality of the contents are good - it’s the instructions that are close to useless. Although it gets you through the initial hull, there is no clear way of knowing what parts go where. Later I. The build they finally use the part numbers - but in other area they just skip steps. Would have been a fun build had they done a better job on explaining how!

Very Poor Instructions
The instructions for completing the hull and deck structures were pretty clear given my level of experience. On the other hand, the masts and rigging are completely lacking. All of the dowels are the same length and there isn't one indication in the instructions as to what their individual lengths should be. You are left to guess lengths and diameter. Even for an experience model builder, this project is a challenge that is borderline impossible to complete.

Excellant Detail, Minimal instructions
The instructions are minimal, but if you research "how to build model ships" before starting this model then you'll have all you need. Excellent detail for the wood parts. The version with the brass cannons and cherry details is well worth the money. The hulling planking is pre-cut to give the correct tapering to each plank. This makes the planking a breeze. A bit more detail in things like blocks, bits and different weights of cords would make for better detailing. I happened to have lots of left-over parts from other ships I've built. And I choose to build this as a US Revenue Cutter. Crew figurines were sourced elsewhere (1/96 Civil War Navy Figurines).
