Purchased two tapes, fitted the first tape cassette into my Brother P-touch and it immediately jammed up, don't think it had been manufactured properly as the carbon paper just rolled into a mess inside the machine and the label came out a smudged unreadable mess. Tried the second cassette of the two purchased and that worked fine. I have used plenty of these over the last three years and this is the first one to have had an issue.

I like to keep a spare one of these. I ordered this 7 months ago, & just put it into my label printer (Nov 2025). The tape didn't fit in the guide properly, & now the cartridge is a light weight paper weight. I just noticed that the model is TZe-AF231. The model # I need is TZe-231. I didn't notice that my search for a specific model provided different model numbers in the results. I made the mistake of believing that a search will return the parameters of the search, and not different ones. I performed a search because the vendor from my prior order was out of stock So, be careful to verify that the model number you are ordering matches the model you are searching for.
