Okay, I really like this mat. Of course there is not yet one perfect mat to catch all the litter but with 4 cats this product has cut down a lot of litter all over the floor. I wish it was a bit longer on the sides but that is because I have 2 huge jumbo sized uncovered litter boxes on this mat and I plan to buy the smaller version to put along with the jumbo size. No biggie in my book. My cats for some reason as my litter boxes are not covered jump out the side so the smaller version will take care of that with a slight overlap. Go figure. Overall, it does what it says. It traps a ton of litter. For cleaning, I have taken the mat up, folded it and put the litter back in the litter boxes. No problem. Much less time sweeping than before. I really do like this and think so far one of the best purchases in mats that I have made. Of course if this review should change, I will edit. But so far, I am very happy with this.

I am happy to have such a wonderfully large cat mat. This covers the entire floor of the closet with two litterboxes. It makes cleaning the floor as easy as taking it up and hosing it off in the driveway! No more mopping under the litterboxes! It's completely waterproof so if your cats miss the box, this will catch it. I clean it by taking it out to the driveway, shaking out the cat littler and hosing it off. I leave it out there to dry and then bring it back in nice and clean. Since it's a plastic-like material it doesn't hold any odors.It does hold cat litter that falls on it in place, but it doesn't do much to actively remove the cat litter form the cats paws. So if they run like my cats, you'll still have cat litter all over the house that clung to their little paws. But your closet floor will be cleaner and the spilled litter near the boxes won't be swept out into the surrounding room.UPDATE: I just ordered another one of these (a yearish later). The first order was the "light grey" and this time I was able to get the darker grey. On comparing the colors in person, the darker grey is much more of a true grey. I find the color labeled "light grey" to be a very blue-grey color. I just put the "light grey" in the closet under the litter boxes and the nicer "dark grey" in the hall. This is a heavy enormous litter mat and exactly what I wanted. I don't love the color as it clashes with the NAVY BLUE bathroom. This is the matt you should buy and NOT the tiny ones. I have so many of those, my cat stopped eating and drinking and using her litter box. I had to hospitalize her for over a week. NOW she will use this mat. It is even LARGER than I had expected, but it does the job. If you have a finicky cat, this mat is for you. It is heavy and sturdy and the cat LOVES it. Thanks Amazon!

This mat is awesome! We’ve been using it for about 7 months now and it has served it’s purpose wonderfully. My cats have a tendency to miss their box and since their litter box is in our unfinished basement, they have done a number on the cement floor. This mat is very large and has completely contained any accidents and saved our floor! It is easy to clean with the water hose but a little more tricky during the winter months since you can’t really leave it out to dry. It is also very sturdy and I don’t see any issue with it ripping etc.

This mat is great to put in front of your kitty's litter box. It catches the litter they drag out, but the litter tends to get caught and stick inside the mesh. Sometimes my powerful vacuum doesn't even pick it up. It has a waterproof backing, but once when my kitty had an accident, the wet did come through to the rug underneath, and I was surprised and disappointed at that!If your kitties are well trained to the litter box, you will like this mat. Oh, I also like the large size!

Thought it would be a steal for the price. Ended up hating it. It's so hard to clean. HEAVEN FORBID your kitten/cat tracks poo out by accident and gets it on the mat, there's no way you're getting it out. If any liquid gets on it like urine, IT WILL SEEP through to your floor. and the litter itself gets caught in the tiny loops of the mat and unless you want to spend your time digging each one out individually, it's staying put. Currently shopping around for a different litter mat.

Traps about 50% more litter than a regular rug. Nice thing is that you can wash it a lot easier than a regular rug (I washed mine in the tub) but it's a bit awkward and heavy to wash as often as I'd like. Bonus was you can vacuum over and it does not snag/ruin it. Side note: I'd recommend wiping down the back side of this mat before putting it down on your floor. It left a bit of a film that I ended up having to scrub off the floor and the mat, but since then, I've had no issues and it stays put.

It goes great with the decor (neutral color) and the mat controls the scattered litter. The mat is made out of rubber but it's woven, almost like crochet with loops and holes. It catches the spilled litter like a charm. It is easy to vacuum it. Would recommend this to anyone with cats!
