Excellent quality, worth the extra cost
These are great, so much better than a generic one. Unfortunately they are extremely expensive for what they are in my opinion. That being said one of these last longer than 3 generic, and you get a much better overall cut. I would actually recommend these simply because there is not a legitimate alternative.

5 and 1
Work very nicely although don't leave them on your table or let the dog kick them off 1 fall and they are done.

Excellent blade!
Excellent blade! This really helped me groom my spaniel efficiently and cut through his thick coat. It's important to use a gentle hand and take your time moving through the coat in stages so you do not cut too closely. Overall, this coarse blade was just what I needed!

Not good not bad
Good one, but need a replacement every 3 months. I ended up using 30 blade on my regular clipper. Nice for beginners

Great for home groomers and large curly poodles
I have tried several of the 5-in-1 blades, including fine and black, etc., but have found this 'course' blade to be perfect for how we groom our 75 lb standard poodle (with a very dense, tight curly coat). The blade is 'short enough' without scalping for trimming face and feet, and the other blade lengths work for his neck, head, belly, torso, rear, ears, etc. IMO, this blade would also do well for large doodles ... for that informal 'natural' look as opposed to a harsh outline/scalping trip. It is less intimidating and does not nick the dog easily .... so where coat maintenance and keeping feet & eyes clean is the goal, for the novice or 'casual' poodle owner ... this is great! Just my opinion. If you keep this blade cleaned and oiled, during trimming and after, it lasts almost a year (twice a month grooming and trimming -- so one blade and the oil cost is a whole lot less cost than going to a groomer! ). Note: we do NOT do a blow-out or fancy comb-out ... our guy is trimmed to various lengths and the curls do what they may ... we prefer that to the 'finger-in-the-socket' poofy stuff, for ease of care and great cost savings.

5 n 1 Wahl blades
I have bought theses 5 n 1 Wahls for years for my Bravaura. I use these pods on face, feet, tummy and tail base Sometimes I find they cut better than other times and appears to have a spot after a bit does not cut as well, but that is rare.

Works great for a Goldendoodle!
I wish I had realized years ago that there was a blade for “coarse” hair! This makes my grooming so much easier!

Clasps Made of Plastic, HORRIBLE DESIGN!
After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase the Wahl Bravura clippers. I use this blade to trim my 50lbs golden doodle. I decided to save money and trim her myself. I’ve trimmed her twice so far. However, the blade platform has broken both times! I wash and brush my dog before clipping to minimize matted hair and I use the 1/2” Wahl brand metal guard made for the Bravura series. As I use the clippers, every once in a while it will catch a patch of matted fur. Sometimes it will cause the blade to pop off and fall to the ground. When it hits the ground, it can break off one or both of the (PLASTIC!) prongs on the back of the blade that grab the metal clasps to the clipper body and hold the platform in place. WHEN THOSE BREAK OFF, THE NEW BLADE IS RENDERED USELESS BECAUSE IT CANT STAY ATTACHED! $30 down the drain in less than 10 mins. These clasps NEED to be made of METAL! It’s a horrible design that I can't believe wasn't thought out better. I expect a $200 device to be of better quality. I wish I could return the clipper and buy a different brand (i.e. Andis).

Why it took me so long to discover this blade is beyond me, but glad I did. It makes my cordless Wahl clipper act like a powerful corded clipper.

I had to replace my original blade because I dropped the clippers on the floor and the tiniest bit of plastic fell off which prevented the blade from reattaching to the clippers. Expensive accident! The blade itself is great. During COVID lockdown times, and in between professional grooms, it's perfect for shaving off matted areas (particularly around the tail), and keeping the feet fur from getting too long. She slides on the hard floors otherwise.
