Coating is good, especially on non absorbing materials. Dries quickly. Holding the pen is comfortable enough.

worked well with good quality gold inkwatch not to shake too hard when you refresh the nib with ink as i managed to shake the felt nib out of the penhowever it continued to work well after I replaced the nib!!
