This is my favourite one with the pheasant 2ndThey are very good quality and nothing like the texture of the yuck we have here in this countryThey are an excellent indulgence for what they are they are reasonably priced.Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong about the texture and taste of these and if there is something that is made in this country. Thank you

Good with toast for lunch or a snack.

I have been looking for good pate to buy since I got back to the UK. The supermarkets carry very ranges, and so this pate was a treat.

The pate is dry and has a nasty taste. Would not buy again.

Texture is very French, flavour just isn’t there. It’s a bit bland and our dinner guests were unimpressed

My gripe is if you’re going to make a chicken liver pate (a strong flavour not to everyone’s taste) either don’t bother or make it as the French do. Chicken livers, butter, shallots, seasoning & booze. Job done! This is the “let’s not alienate those that find liver too strong a flavour by adding a load of pork!?” version of chicken liver pate. The result is, as you would expect, a rather bland half way house. Swing and a miss for me & definitely not chicken liver pate because it’s also got a lot of pork in it!

Ideal for toast or biscuits, second to none in flavour

Good for a lunch where you don't want to cook. Tastes fine in a sandwich.
