Bought this for my son for Christmas along with an extra battery. It was only used a couple times until the spring when the weather got nice. When he finally started to use it it would only move in reverse. Tried replacing all the batteries but did not help. Would definitely not recommend this RC truck.*UPDATE* 8/14/17. Not to long after posting my review I was contacted by Willow from Vatos and she informed me of their 1 year warranty policy which I did not know of, and that was my fault for not reading all paperwork. She said if I knew what was wrong they would send me parts or if not I could just send back for a replacement. When I informed her my son had thrown it away since it quit working and was just taking up room she said that was ok and sent a replacement anyway. We just received new truck and everything is working great. I would recommend this product on customer service alone. But second truck we got seems to be holding up ok so far so I will recommend it on product also.

This is a pretty cool truck at first. It is 4WD and has decent battery life. My kids loved playing with it while it worked. I would estimate we ran it six times (run till battery dies, then recharge). On the 7th or so time it stopped responding to forward and backward commands. I bought a new battery which didn't help. Then I checked the voltage and isolated the problem to the electric motor. Vatos asked me a bunch of questions over a series of emails and agreed to send me a new motor. Then several days later they sent me an email that they changed their mind and only send new motors within 90 days. So they completed wasted my time over a cheap motor and did a head fake on replacement. Very disappointing.In addition, I'm just getting into RC vehicles and this is the hands down the most difficult motor to remove and replace. You will literally have to remove about 20 screws and nearly disassemble the entire rear frame to access the motor. You also have to open the rear drive shaft and gear box to get the motor out. Other RC vehicles I have are far, far more simple to access the motor.My recommendation is buy something else such as the Tozo 1:18 4WD Power Buggy. It is easy to work on and has held up twice as long. This Vatos Desert Buggy looks cool, but the motor will fail at some point and you'll be left with a pile of plastic for the trash heap.

It's amazing, kids love it. But I would like to buy extra rechargeable battery, anybody can help me with that. Thank you

Fast but....... . The car died today in less than a year with infrequent use the "gear box" completely broken ,the wheels axis does not engage with the motor so the car can't move

The car ran great, really fast . After two days the battery wouldn't charge or hold a charge. I have to order a new battery now. Other than the battery, the car is great.

I bought this remote control car for my son for Christmas. We played with it for about 5 minutes before the fully charged battery died and needed recharging. I would not buy this car again; in fact, I'm thinking about returning it in the morning.
