Really nice lamp
Well worth the money. Looks so good at the bottom of the stairs on a steel cabinet. Very industrial

It looks lovely.
I live in Sweden and bought this on amazon.co.uk because it is not available on the Swedish site. I love the look of the chunk of wood that forms it base and its light, with a 'cool' 4,500K bulb is bright. I bought a pair of these and they sit in the windowsill of my workshop/studio and come on at night by using a timer. I chose to remove the UK plug for an EU standard plug (using an adapter is beyond clumsy) but found that it is impossible to get inside the workings of the lamp to do a full rewire. Had that been possible then I would have awarded it a full five stars. I've dropped a star for that but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I do and I would buy it again.

Perfect Table Lamp
The table lamp is beautifully made and looks great on my bedside table. It’s wonderful to find something a little different that stands out. I couldn’t be happier with it. Also, you plug it into the wall and switch it on. No need for charging as it’s continually available to use. I also bought the light bulbs as seen in the pictures and they match the lamp stand perfectly, but you can choose any you want. Highly recommended as you won’t be disappointed!

Industrial style addition
Very bright with a Edison bulb due to it being shade less . Performance is good can switch it on or off with the wick turner . Good value for money considering it looks expensive.

Just what we wanted
We bought a bulb which says ‘Happy’ in an old fashioned style. This lamp base is perfect for that old fashioned look

Fitting looks flimsy / dangerous
My lamp arrived today and although the base itself is solidly made. The interior socket thread (into which the bulb screws), looks as though it is made from a flimsy, metal screw top from a cheap bottle of wine. This is surrounded by a thin cardboard tube (like a small version of a toilet roll tube) which I presume must be insulation, so this doesn’t seem like it is earthed? There is a CE sticker on the bottom of the base but I have my doubts that this means anything at all. I notice that since I bought the lamp base (2 days ago) that it is now listed as ‘currently unavailable’ and the seller’s name (Luxvista) is no longer highlighted.I am wary of using this as I am not sure it is safe to use, as all of the exterior fittings, are made of metal.
