How do you install this? Do you need a drill or any other special tools?

I bought the hanging mounts that you have to put a hole in the ceiling and then pop the butterfly clasp thru so it catches on the inside of the drywall so it’s a sturdy hanger for the lamp.

You mentioned it's 6" in diameter but how long is the lamp itself?

About 12 inches which includes the top and bottom fasteners and an inch hanging medallion
