I can only give you my anecdotal report, although insurmountable science is already available, so I think the anecdotal reports are especially helpful right now: I DO NOT GET SICK when taking Reishi. I started taking Nammex brand years ago because a lot of credible scientific studies used them specifically. GinsengStoreAndMore has been my go-to provider for Nammex mushrooms since I've found them. I always receive premium quality and grade for whatever I buy. I personally recommended their Reishi and Chaga to my family and friends for use during this pandemic because of all the evidence of immunomodulation of the human immune system (which apparently is a completely ignored factor in commercial medicine (anything that Nature can do herself)). The intricate health of the immune system could be a single independent variable that determines whether someone gets ill (and degree of symptoms) or not (or just a little). I hypothesize that when the immune system is modulated with the full-spectrum and unadulterated intelligence Nature provides from these Forest treasures (such as these Nammex extracts from GinsengStoreAndMore), a person will have a less-likely chance of becoming seriously ill after being infected with a virus, including SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19. I have some experience growing reishi and making my own extracts. These always had a noticeable relaxing effect and produced vivid dreams for me. This product does not have that effect. Even so, it seems to have a powerful effect on immune system function.It is definitely real reishi judging by the taste. I think it is a bulk water extract from China (not necessarily a problem, the best reishi in the world comes from china). The Nammex product as far as I know is a double extract, water extraction for polysaccharides and also an alcohol extraction for the triterpines. This is way too cheap to be a double extract. I wish the seller was honest about this.Everything aside, It did have a positive effect on my health. My body tolerated it particularly well and the amount you get is very economical for the price.

I don't know if it does anything health-wise, but I like the slightly bitter flavor it gives my morning coffee.Why the missing star? It claims to be Nammex, but I really don't see any indication on the bag of its provenance or manufacturer. So it's a claim that may or may not be true. It just lists a distributor as Foundation Force Foods.No reason to think it's not Nammex, just saying.
