ECC803s 12AX7 Gold Pin Preamp Vacuum Tube

I replaced the stock 12AX7 tube in my Presonus Studio Channel Strip. immediate improvement. Noise floor is lower, I have more headroom, and I can drive the tube harder and it just keep sounding better. A very nice and easy to accomplish mod for my preamp. Well worth the few dollars.

I replaced the tube in my mic with this tube and the quality was way better.

This tube definitely improved the tone (as perceived by me, at least) and increased the volume of my Orange Micro Terror amp. In my opinion and experience tone (as far as it is perceived by most listeners, especially non-musicians) is mostly in the fingers of the player. Relatively small hardware adjustments definitely can make a difference, but I think that most of that difference is usually perceived mostly if not exclusively by the player. That doesn't mean that difference is not important, however, as the feel, responsiveness, and tone that the player perceives from the instrument has a major effect on the quality and experience of performance. Just don't expect your girlfriend, boyfriend etc. to be suddenly blown away by how amazing this tube sounds. They may very well not hear it. But as long as you hear it, and as long as you like it, and as long as it inspires you and brings you joy as a musician, that's what matters most, and that will make your playing better. And listeners all have an ear for joyful, inspired playing.

I was disappointed in the package the 12ax7 vacuum tube was sent in. envelop no bubble wrap.Should been shipped in small box. Even the box the tube comes in was mangled.Somehow the tube works ok in my fender vibro champ xd.I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

This tube is such a gorgeous looking tube, and it sounds even better than it looks. I did a comparison of the Sovtek tube (12ax7) in my Blackstar HT-dual pedal, it comes stock with the Sovtek. Even though the original tube sounds good, the Tungsol out performs in clarity, warmth, punch, and detail. Very dynamic tone, it gets me where I was hoping the pedal would take me, and then some! I was also very very imressed with the packing job of the tube, it arrived in perfect health and in record time! I got the tube the same day I got the pedal, and ordered it 2 days after! I will definetly go through this vendor again when it comes time for me to build my own amp!

I bought this to replace the tube on a BEHRINGER TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC500USB. Sound improvement is significant compared to the cheap tube it came with. I liked it a lot so I replaced my fender amp tube with this and I really like the sound. These are some of the best quality tubes you can get for pro-audio. No two tubes are the same, buy a couple and try them in different positions to get the sound you like the best. Gold pins for the win

Very quiet and great gain. Glad I tried this "mod" to my Mesa Boogie Mark V 25 Combo amplifier.

REALLY helped open up the sound of my Hot Rod Deluxe when in v2, I heard there were a few more differences outside of pins when moving to the gold, but, honestly i'm not convinced there's too much of a difference, just that I only had enough for either this, or a "tubestore.com" that was cheaper but with a bunch of shipping cost... figured that I might as well get the upgrade, ey?
