Works really great! I'm still a little nervous because they do look sorta fragile, and I'm afraid I'm going to snap off the leaves/handle -- but other reviewers have said theirs has gone through the ringer and didn't break! The size is perfect, and more salt/pepper fits inside each than I expected. Also they grind more smoothly than my old pepper mill, which was a nice surprise.

I love the smell of freshly grind black pepper, and I wanted something that will be easy to use, easy to be refilled and of course to look cool.Well this answered all those needs, filling this was so simple and using it didn't require any force, I have to admit that this made it feel too delicate and fragile at the beginning but it seems I worried for nothing as it even passed the young kids test :) they used it when I didn't pay attention and almost grind a glass full of pepper.

Every time I use these I worry that the plastic "leaves" will break off. If a salt chip seems stuck I carefully back it up and try again. The grinder works great as long as it doesn't get bound up. The other issue with the grinders is that they are unstable and easily roll over on the table if you bump the table. That wouldn't be so bad if the little leaves didn't fall off when they roll over and then spill the salt or pepper on the table.

I really loved this set of salt and pepper shakers at first. They work really well and I love the shape. I have been useing them for 2 months now and hadn’t had any problems but recently the leaf broke off one of the grinders. They are made of plastic and not designed for heavy use. I can still use it, it just only grinds in one direction. I would still recommend them but only if you are looking to use them occasionally or with finner sea salt.

Fall apart every time I use them.
