Sugarman Creations Non Slip Area Rug Pad (6 Feet by 9 Feet)

Works okay, but mainly on flat surfaces. I was hoping it would keep my runner and door mat that are on my carpet in place. It helps but doesn't prevent it from moving. It just takes longer between adjustments. I used to have to move my runner back into position several times a day. Now, I only have to move it once or twice a day. It would work perfectly on hardwood, tile, or other slippery or smooth surface.

I bought a new area rug for a hardwood floor and found that it slipped a lot so I ordered this pad. It fits very well and has made my rug completely non-slip. It arrived in good timer, very well packaged and I am very pleased with it. I would highly recommend it.

This hasn't worked very well for me. It sticks to the floor better than to the rug. It cut very easily and I used it in several different areas. I have the most difficulty in the bathroom with my newer rag rugs. When using it under a rug which had a rubber backing that I needed to keep off my vinyl so the rubber wouldn't yellow my floor, this item works better. I also tried using it between my mattresses so my top one wouldn't move around. It has helped some with that. My mattress only moves about 6 inches off the box spring now, instead of a foot, result being I don't fall out of bed anymore!

I have a carpet that slips around everywhere and now it is secured in place with this Non Slip Rug Pad. On one of my carpets, I place two-way sticky tape to secure the pad in place on the bottom of the carpet. It worked well. On the second carpet, a small one by my entry hall, I did not use the two-way tapes and it worked equally well without. I also use this non-slip Rug Pad Ultimate underneath my keyboard on my desk as it has a tendency to slip around marring the wood finish of the pull-out shelf. This works well. I will be looking for more ways to use this non-slip handy/dandy pad in my house. It works wonders and can be used for multiple purposes and not just rugs. I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review. I expect to have this non-slip pad around for a long time.

With ordinary scissors I cut a large piece of this into two pieces, one to hold a 96" X 26" rug runner in place on top of another piece of carpet and another to hold an 87" X 27" rug runner in place on a rubber tiled kitchen floor. I did rather much research to find one that claims to hold on carpet as well as on a hard floor. This one does what it claims to do. Previously problematic rug runners have not moved since this has been under them.Warning: As someone else mentioned, if possible open the package outdoors and let this gripper air out for a day or two before bringing it inside. It does stink badly just at first.

It does give rug some firmness and sticking it to floor, but not 100% grip. Don't try to run over if ur rug is on top of wood floors coz it may just take u in a ride :)

The real reason I bought this is because my two dogs run and stop themselves on the rug and then wrestle each other there. The rug used to always be out of place and the heater vent would be covered by the shifting rug more often than not. I have it at my front door where there is a lot of traffic too. Now my dogs play like maniacs on the rug and it doesn't move. I have had to find a different part time job now that I am not adjusting the rug every time I turn around. I used it on hardwood, but didn't try it on carpet, so I can't speak to that.

This is my second purchase of this product. It works really well. I have 2 large dogs and it holds the area rug in place on a tile floor pretty well even when the dogs are running through the house and sliding around the corner. The only reason I had to buy a new one is because they kept chewing on the old one and it got too small to hold the rug in place.I had purchased one before from Pottery Barn and it didn't work nearly as well as this one! I would recommend this product.
