Pool RX 332001 PoolRX+ Booster Blue Swimming Pool Algaecide, Single Unit

Keeps my pool algae-free year round. I use this in my above ground pool and after YEARS of battling algae I finally drained my pool and started fresh with POOL RX. It is so easy to use and so much less expensive than the gallons of chemicals and bags of shock I was constantly adding to try to keep my water clear.I did try to use it on my pool that already had algae and it didn’t work. However, once I drained it and started fresh, it worked like a champ. I just replace or refresh the Pool RX every 6 months and float chlorine tabs and that is IT. I no longer need any other chemicals.

I was fighting mustard algae in my pool bought this and IT WORKS if you are fighting algae get this it is so easy to use and works great at getting rid of algae

Works like a charm in a Florida pool. Had recurring instances of murky algae growth requiring substantial chemical use to correct. Been using PoolRx for a few years now with no recurrence. It pays for itself. Recommend

When I received this it was all one hard clump looked old probably got hot at some point . The pool Rx+ unit worked wonders originally and I bought the booster because it wasn't working as well and that's what they said too do . It was a waste of my money it didn't do anything . I should have just bought a whole new pool RX+ unit but they said you could just use the booster. I emailed them about how I received the product they said it was fine just put in skimmer and let it dissolve so that's what I did after first day no sign of it working like the original unit did second day I had algae growing now my pool is all green and it's going to cost me more money to get it back to normal. Don't buy from this supplier I should have trusted the reviews I read on it there were a couple other people had almost identical problem with the booster from this supplier and now that I followed their directions they sent in email I don't have a product to send back for refund pretty smart of them to tell me to use it . I tried to email back after it didn't work and have gotten no response can't return to Amazon because I put in pool . I guess lesson learned next time it doesn't look right just return to Amazon without dealing with supplier.

I have owned this cement pool for 25 years and have always struggled with controlling algae. The chemicals and algaecides I bought from Leslie Pool Supply were expensive and barely worked in the heat of the summer. I had a severe problem last summer where the drought we had and the amount of chlorine tablets I had been using had bloated the Cyanuric Acid to an extreme level where the water wasn’t clear anymore. Leslie told me to dump 3/4 of the pool water to reduce the Cyanuric Acid but I couldn’t do that because I have a large pool that holds 44,000 gallons. So I dumped the top couple of inches of water and the water became clearer but I limped through the pool season until they dumped a significant amount of water when they closed the pool. Before the season my friend told me to forget all the chemicals from Leslie, especially the chlorine tabs which also put too much conditioner in the water which was increasing my Cyanuric Acid levels. She said to just use liquid chlorine essentially and put in Pool RX. I didn’t need those expensive algaecides either. I had a little bit of green algae at the beginning of this season and I saw in a few spots a little bit of black algae which became more of a problem last summer. I put in Pool RX about a month ago and so far no algae at all and the pool water is crystal clear. The biggest test will be the very hot weeks of summer in August but my friend said her pool did fine through the hot spells last summer with Pool RX. I am very confident at this point that Pool RX has solved my algae problems. I will definitely buy it again next year when I open my pool.

I use the regular Pool RX and by adding the booster. My pool was as sparkly clean as it ever was.

I have used Pool RX for over a year now and will never go back to the normally prescribed pool water balance methods. I was having algie problems that resulted in my pool water turning green and was unable to shock it back to clear water. I tried Pool RX and it cleared up my water to crystal clear within 3 days and has, with Pool RX Boosters, maintained my pool water in a crystal clear appearance. I have been able to cut my chemical costs a great deal while simplifying my efforts to keep my pool crystal clear. To anyone not using Pool RX, I would encourage you to try it as I'm confident you will never cease using it once you have tried it!
