The PERFECT Book for Those Who Love Someone Diagnosed with Dementia
My brother-in-law's neurologist recommended this book for my sister. We, her sisters, decided to read it, too, in order to support both of them. I loved this book! It is quite comprehensive and written in a manner that all can understand. The author covers most every possible situation that may arise explaining ways to cope with each event and what to learn for next time. There are anecdotal stories included to help visual situations, too. I have a medical background and wanted to read it cover to cover, but the author does suggest that you read each section that applies to your situation (sort of like a reference book). I have a friend who is struggling with different changes in each of her parent's neurological status, so I bought this book for her. She, too, is understanding a lot more now, too.

Great resource
This book is very helpful if you’re caring or care about someone with dementia whether they are recently diagnosed or right in the thick of it. It’s not meant to be read cover to cover, but rather to refer to the table of contents, like en encyclopedia, depending on what scenarios or symptom present.

Excellent Informative Book Recommended by my Doctor
This book came recommended to me by my doctor who says he’s been recommending it since the 70s. It opens up the world of dementia and Alzheimer’s patients, allowing us to see why elderly parents and friends, who are enduring the ravages of these diseases, behave as they do.I very highly recommend this book to anyone who is dealing with loved ones who have been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s. A true blessing.
