Anemone Guard for ECOTECH Power Heads (Standard Flow, MP-10)

The old nozzle/cover for my mp40 had been eroded away by my urchins, so I needed a replacement. This replaced it perfectly, and is sturdier and provides more protection than the original. A bit pricey, but I like it.

I’ve tried several guards for my vortech mp40s. They worked, but were completely oversized to slip over and or didn’t protect the impeller from fish and anemones. This one fits great and maintains the same foot print as the oem cover. Checks all the boxes….Would not go any other route

I got the standard type and it fit perfectly and worked well, especially if you prefer a more directional flow, with the added protection for your anemones. Great customer service from seller, as far as answering all my questions. Thanks!

Love that it keeps the enemies from crashing my whole team for getting sucked in to the powerhead so far no issues

Great product! Replaces the entire Vortech guard, unlike other guards. Fit was great and without any effort. Looking forward to trying out the enhanced flow style for a MP40!P.S. No anemones were harmed during this review…

I was very excited to get this as I hated the look of the ones the MP40 brings since all the food gets stuck to it. So I bought 4 and put them on, two days later I found the Anemone dead on it, it went right through it. Doesn’t work for the intended purpose, I should have kept the old ones as they did saved the Anemone from getting shredded a couple of times.
