Amazing
Works very well and doesn't break with regular use. I much prefer this to a folding saw

Great pocket saw
Works great for larger logs. Good for off grid camping when you have to find your own firewood. It’s a workout to use but cuts super quick. If used for camping, recommend second fold out saw for smaller cuts as it tends to bind a little.

Gets the job done!
I bought this to cut some errant main branches off of a cyanothus dark star tree in my back yard, since none of my existing saws were really up to the task. I also didn't want to spend more money than necessary and get a motorized chainsaw since it will get so little use.PLEASE BE SURE TO WEAR HAND, ARM, AND EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING THIS SAW!!!! It is scarily sharp, and will easily take a big chunk (or several) out of your hands or arms if you make contact during operation. Please also be sure to start slowly, and get lots of practice to get the feel of this, being particularly careful to keep your hands and arms out of the travel path of the chain. This saw made for very quick and easy work of cutting the branches off of the tree. When you're almost through, the chain tends to just get stuck, due to the suddenly very sharp angle of the blade against the tiny diameter of what's left to be cut. I've not figured out how to work around that yet, and twisted and pried the branch to free the saw, and tear the remaining piece of the branch away from the tree. The instructions also direct to frequently oil the chain, but provide no advice or guidance for actually doing so. I wound up soaking the entire chain in a small plastic cup full of bar and chain oil, which makes for a very messy chain...I've still not figured out how to clean the excess oil from the chain.I'd also recommend purchasing the longer size, as I did. It seems to me that the shorter length would have made getting through the branches much more difficult and time-consuming, for no real benefit (aside from a lower price). The pouch the longer saw comes in is TINY, and has a belt loop, which is thoughtful and convenient.

This was actually fun to use.
Okay first thing I do have an actual chain saw and I use it for collecting firewood but I kept this little one in my glove box. Well I was out driving the dirt roads and I came across a tree fall that I couldn't clear. The ranger was already there but his dependable chainsaw was not being dependable. So I was talking with him and then I remembered that I had this. I said do you mind if I try my hand saw out. He said no problem. Long story short this saw was through that 8 inch log in no time and the rest of the smaller ones made it seem effortless. I won't go deep woods camping without this saw. Well worth the money and it is in my bug out survival pack ready for use. As with all chainsaw I recommend keeping it oiled lightly and clean it. You can also sharpen it. Take care of your equipment and you can rest easily that your equipment will take good care of you. Good quality

Absolutely worth it!
Love this saw! I used it together with towing straps to help take down oak limbs above where I could go with a ladder. (I was removing the whole tree for fire safety—NorCal). The chain is thinner than a regular chain saw and light, but worked smoothly and beautifully. The strap handles put up with a lot of abuse as well and show little wear. I now keep it with my emergency gear and am buying another for extended camping trips. The simple fact is you will get worn out before this product ever does. It takes some cardio to maintain a rhythm, but the blade will do its part. This costs more than other brands, but think of this like buying any other good tool. Worth it!

Unimpressive performance
Attempted to cut a branch smaller in diameter than that pictured in the instructions, made sure that the teeth were facing into the wood, but it only tickled the branch. Will make another attempt to test it on another branch. In the meantime "Meh".

Why didn’t I buy this sooner?!?!
I finally purchased this wondering if it was a gimmick, but I like this better than my Dewalt chainsaw. I was wasting so much time and energy hacking at branches with a hatchet or small ax and I used this pocket saw tonight and made the best campfire of the year with all the dead branches laying around the woods. This thing already paid for itself in the cost of firewood.
