Easy, Precise To USe
Unless you are 'industrial,' this is the machine to buy. At 430 something pounds off the truck, my problem was getting it 50 yards across a mushy yard to a modern shop/barn. Too wet for a truck or dragging. Two options - one, put wheels and a trailer hitch on the packing crate and haul it using my lawn tractor; two, load it on a small trailer and haul it that way. The trailer worked for me. A portable electric winch helped lift it to vertical. To reduce weight, prior moving, I removed all packages, and took out the electric motor. Needed a pulley puller for that. Very easy task, and it helped me get familiar with the saw's innards. Take a picture of of the wiring if you are keeping the machine at 100 volts for easy replacement. Beef up your rafters if using a winch to lift the machine to put a roller assembly underneath - the JET model.... goes together without tools. A little wobbly but you can make it work solidly with shims. Don't be scared by 240 volts - the diagrams that JET provides are good and EASY. Just take your time, and all you need to buy is a 240 plug, a receptacle, 20 amp breaker and the wire to create the line to the box. It helps to know whether you have the space in your panel for new work. Don't know how to do that- call someone..... but doing the saw is a snap. DO NOT..... DO NOT..... TRY TO USE ADAPTERS FOR 240 volts. Don't be cheap.A lot of complaints have been made about lighting.... you can induce blindness into your workspace by the screw in LEDs available on the market today and ELIMINATE any dark areas around your work for mere pennies. Don't let THAT become an issue. The best part of all this, is when at age 72..... for once in my life... I push a button and everything works as it should. The 15" Jet is REALLY a beast. A very, quiet, solid member of my pile of iron that will make my wood-play much more enjoyable.

... this for about six months now and am very happy with it
I have been using this for about six months now and am very happy with it. The 1.75 HP model delivers enough power to resaw 8 inch wide rock maple without much difficulty. The fence is very sturdy and stable. Blade change out is straight forward. However, before purchasing I would consider one item. If you have large hands, the lower thrust bearing will be challenging for you to adjust. The bearing adjustment is accessed underneath the rear of the table and there is very little room. I have medium hands and it is a little challenging for me to adjust. Overall, for me, it's a great addition to my shop.

Solid Bandsaw
Have had this for over three years and still works great. Quality is good. Blade changes are pretty quick. Power is good. Have resawn 12” thick material many times with no problem (with a good blade of course). If I had one wish, it would be for a foot brake, but definitely not a deal breaker. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

Splendid Woodworking Instrument
Previous owner of an old workhorse Rockwell Model 14.This Jet Bandsaw is a true instrument, with ability to adjust all facets of performance. Included instructions show how to assure that the cutting action is 90 degrees horizontal and vertical, easy blade tension adjustment, accurate fence adjustment, easy blade change. 6" high fence for resawing. And it is very quiet, not as loud as my Delta drill press! With my old Rockwell I had to wear hearing protection. It has just over 14" clearance vertically and horizontally to the left. The only thing it lacks is good lighting; I am ordering a magnetic-base LED light for it, but other options include a stronger LED light projected from a nearby wall.

Awesome tool
Took me all day to get the crate off and then off the pallet. 4 stars because the rear corner of the base was bent up by about 3/4" so the saw is a bit unstable but i will shim it when i get to it, it will be OK. It is very heavy and a bit of work for one man to get in place and set up. Have not used it yet but i know it will be a joy to use, it is a solid well made saw.

Heavy metal
This product is well made. It is heavy. Only requirements are a magnetic light. The blade that comes with it is not the best quality but it is good for starters. The machine is extremely quiet for what it does. I would recommend this product.
