Worked fine to do firmware update
I can never find my specific Sony cable when I need to do a firmware update. Though you can download photos with a regular USB cable, you can't do updates. This cable worked fine to do a firmware update on my A6500. The price is right, I am buying another one, putting colored tape on both of them, and keeping them in specific camera bags!

Not compatible with windows 10
After thorough review and testing, this cable, which was purchased to use for updates and apps for my sony a6500 does not have a compatible driver when using windows 10 operating system. This results in a 'USB device not recognized' error when attempting to connect it to my pc. Disappointed as other reviews say otherwise. Will probably be returning if unable to find a way to connect.
