Stylish Smartwatch for Both Casual and Fitness use
Why do I like it? - because in the ‘Smartwatches Family’ this watch comes with the ‘Dual screen display’ feature that makes the battery last longer. And because it works with my non-Samsung phone better than the Samsung Gear watch (Samsung turned off some features when Samsung Gear is not used with a Samsung Phone). -because this is a watch for both casual and fitness use (many choices available for watch faces). As far I’m concerned, I have bought it because it helps me a lot at work (as a Personal Assistant) because I am asked to keep my phone on silent while with a client and it may feel inappropriate to keep on checking my phone every minute for important (job related) messages or missed calls, so I can monitor my phones notifications on my watch. Also, it comes handy when I need to set a reminder or alarm /timer using the built-in Google assistant or Alexa** (that can be installed from Google Play Store and paid for a one-time small fee to unlock the premium Alexa). I can use voice memo as well (recording on the watch and transferring the file to the phone, after synchronizing, where it can be played). **Google assistant on TicWatch can set reminders on the connected Google account, but, due to a Google Wear software bug unrelated to Mobvoi/TicWatch, I suppose, reminders are never displayed on the watch (but on the phone and all other smart devices) so Alexa adds a plus of functionality. In all other aspects, Google Assistant on the watch works fine with voice commands (examples of what I use: switching on/off smart devices, translating words, spelling, searching for answers on the internet and others). With my job, it’s important to monitor the SpO2 levels, because I am still required by my P&P to wear a mask and sometimes I ‘forget’ to breathe deeply, as it happened in the past when my levels dropped under 95%. The SpO2 sensor is really useful. Other uses: With a 3rd party app like Stocard I store my fidelity cards or tickets (QR or bar codes) and I can use them fast when needed, for example before paying with GPay (NFC) from my watch. For this use, I noticed that one can pay with the watch even if the phone is not connected to the watch (I forgot it in the car). Need to mention it is said that the watch needs synchronizing with the phone every now and then to add more tokens to be used for future payments (while connected on bluetooth). Other features that I tested: - Multiple choice watch faces, found on Mobvoi app or Google Play Store - Fast processor, responsive. - Posh look and the interchangeable strap size is 22mm so it can be easily swapped for a leather one if you would like to use the watch as an accessory for your smart clothes and not for fitness. In the actual TicWatch version, the previous posh silicon strap looking like a leather one has been replaced by a sturdy look like fluora rubber. For whoever may want to swap it with a real leather strap (size 22mm), this is possible, like I did. Thinner watch than TicWatch Pro 3 GPS by 1mm. Lighter than that by 0.2 g Good 577mAh battery. With moderate use of display, sleep function use, O2, hearth 24/7, in smart mode the battery lasts 48-58 hrs. Some people claimed that it could last up to 72 hours (depending on how many active sensors, display’s brightness, and display’s waking up frequency). (Retina LTPO OLED display should adapt to what the user is doing in terms of power consumption and variability of the refresh rate which is done dynamically to save battery.) One could argue that the older version TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is as good as this version at a better price, however there are some improvements like: - Improved durability compared to the older brother TicWatch Pro 3 GPS as this watch’s case has been upgraded from metal and plastic to metal and high-strength nylon with fiberglass - both have been certified IP68 Waterproof and Swim Suitable however, the present version has been tested and achieved Military Standard 810G - Additionally, the Ultra’s LCD’s backlight has been given the option to be changed to a variety of colours to choose from the ‘Essentials’ menu (for saving the battery, though, there is an option to be set to ‘default’ white). - SpO2, Heart rate and heart rate variability HRV sensors can be set to 24/7, useful for monitoring one’s sleep and if you want more data than TicSleep app provides, 3rd party sleep monitor applications can be used successfully (I use ‘Sleep as Android’ paid version because I got addicted to this app and because it has a smart wake-up/alarm feature). - As previous versions: good speaker, crystal clear sound when used for calls or with the Smart assistants as described above. Spotify watch app has been added extra functionality, it can play sound on the watch itself, but sometimes switching to listening on the watch it’s a temperamental thing so I recommend using the watch as a remote control for Spotify playing sound on laptop, phone (with Bluetooth earbuds connected to phone) or Google Smart Display. Hopefully Spotify will improve this feature as TicWatch cannot be blamed for 3rd party applications. I would like to mention that I don’t have too much spare time for fitness but I noticed the automated fitness tracker TicExercise started in two instances for me: (fast) walking and treadmill (indoor run); so with my limited exercising time I did not use many workout programs, but it is stated to have more than 100+ workout modes of which I noticed some ‘interesting’ ones: Tai-Chi and Yoga that I’m going to use soon 😊. Overall, I am impressed with this watch and I like the previous versions as well (Ticwatch E3 - budget price - and Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS because they run with the same memory RAM: 1GB / ROM: 8GB and Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 4100 and Mobvoi dual processor system), only this got better.

Love this watch WAY more than I was planning to!
I am going to give this review in 2 parts; brief for those who want a quick comment, and more in depth for those who want more detail. First a bit of background so you can understand how I would use the watch and why I ordered it. Background: I am a keen runner. I try to run 3 times a week at least. So I have always had Garmin watches which I love and currently have the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro. It's an amazing watch. -------------------------------------------- Quick summary (skip down if you want more in depth): I am genuinely surprised how much I liked this watch. I am not usually keen on Wear OS watches and mainly bought this as a dress watch for occassionaly use, it was certainly never going to take the place of my Garmin. Surprisingly to me, I can't stop wearing it. I wear it everyday! Key pros and cons so far; Pros; Battery life. Screen quality Responsive Speed Health monitoring Looks - thin and good looking. Waterproof Phone calls on watch Cons: Quite expensive (but only just released). Using it on a run is fiddly ------------------------------------------------- Full Review: I really do love my Garmin, I think it looks great, lasts a long time and is second to none for sports and health monitoring. I bought this watch just because I really like the look of it and the ability to make calls without my phone for an emergency. I didn't plan to wear it that often though. Unboxing: The box arrived the day after I ordered and it was really smartly packaged. Came with charging cable (a nice magnetic clip for side of the watch). Looks: The first thing that hit me was the looks of this watch. It's thin, has a really nice brown leather band, and looks really nice on the wrist. Then you turn on the watch and the screen really hits you. It's one of the best watch screens I've seen. Battery: My biggest issue with Wear OS is the battery drain. It's so annoying. I hate watches that just about last the day. I just don't want yet another device I have to think about charging all the time. This watch is by far the best Wear OS watch I know at handling battery life. In standby, it will switch to it's LCD screen. I thought at first I would find this annoying as one of the things I love about my garmin is the always on display that doesn't drain the battery. But this LCD is actually very good. It gives you just the information you would need if you glance over at your watch, time, date etc. It's also very quick at flicking back to the full screen when you raised your wrist or tap the screen. It really is a best of both worlds situation because the battery life as a result, is superb. I think I've now had 3 days out of it easy. I also like that at 5% it just goes into that essential mode (LCD screen) and stays there to at least give you a functioning watch for much longer. The phone calls: I have not set up the GSM yet on this watch as I'm no longer with Vodafone, however I had the previous version of this watch and set it up on there. It is and EXCELLENT feature. It works really well. If you forget your phone and need something for emergencies, perhaps when out running, this works really well. You need One Number from Voda. It's not hard to set up. Running/Sports Use: This is the only time I won't wear this watch. Unfortunately it doesn't come close to the Garmin for accuracy of running route, heart beat etc. I'm only saying that because I have the Garmin, so I have the option of using it for sports, and it is entirely designed for that purpose so of course it will be the best. However if you are just casual about sports and run tracking, this is a VERY good option. It has got everything you need and features some good apps to help you. I wish the screen would just stay on during the run so I can glance down, but I guess that's a battery drain, and the screen tech of the Garmin is what gets around this. You lose the screen quality and brightness on the garmin but you do get the benefits during your runs. So it's really about how serious a runner you are. Again, if you run occasionally and need a good tracker/all rounder, this is more that adequate. Wear OS: Not really the biggest fan myself of Wear OS, but I am impressed with how well it's been implemented on this watch. The watch itself is fast and responsive, and tracking through apps is really easy. I was surprised how well they'd done it. I really like it. Wireless Connections: By this I mean, bluetooth, ear bud, wifi, etc. All perfect. I've had no problem connecting ear buds and it's always connected to my wifi. I really like that phone calls come through to it and messages too as it means I can be more selective as to whether to pick up my phone. Sports Apps & Waterproof: I know I've mentioned running, but I should also mention that this watch is LOADED with apps for pretty much any sport you can think of. It's quite amazing how much it can track. I really like that it's waterproof and can track your swimming to! Price: OK, the price is about mid range to high. It has just come out and has a LOT of features so I think this is justified. I'm sure the price will come down in the coming months though. I do think it's worth paying the extra for the features you're getting and battery life. Overall Verdict. I honestly was only planning for this watch to be my secondary device. I cannot believe how much I like it. I have found myself wearing it more and more and relegating the Garmin to sports and running which was NOT expected. I REALLY recommend this watch, it is about as feature packed as it gets. I love the screen, the style and design, the battery life, and the connection to my phone.

Really awesome smartwatch but...
I bought Tic Pro4 Ultra GPS in March, so I after few months using it everyday I can write few words. First of all, it looks great on hand. It is fast, no problem with scrolling apps, answering calls, writing texts etc. Whats about sleep and activity tracking, sleep tracking is not good. Sometimes shows correctly, however for me most of the time is not correctly. Regarding activity tracking like running, walking etc. is not bad. Steps, heart rate, altitude seems to be accrued. GPS (slow on connecting to satellite) also works good. From time to time for no reason my Tic Pro4 stops tracking daily steps, heart rate, and only device reset could help. Another thing is about sync in data, don't know it is actually my phone, Mobvoi app or maybe watch has a problem with sync in data after activity is done, plus app is not user friendly. Great smartwatch, but needs some love from Mobvoi. Hope coming update to Wear 3.0 will bring some improvement.

Is definitely not IP68 rated
I loved this watch. Looked great, especially with the black metal wristband I bought. Really good features, WebOS apps, some great faces built in or to download, good battery life which surprised me! Then, last week, I went for a swim. Now, as instructed, I had taken this off religiously every time I had a shower. I completely kept it dry. BUT I bought it because the advert says "Enhanced Water Resistance" and "IP68 waterproof and pool swimming suitable" so as this was a swim I kept my watch on. BIG mistake. This is NOT waterproof in the slightest. Screen is now knackered, it keeps locking itself or resetting itself. It does still work ... but only just and it has been ruined. And of course, I bought it more than 12 months ago so out of warranty. Although I think if you advertise something with enhanced water resistance and IP68 rating it doesn't matter how long ago you bought it. So my advice? Dont believe a word you read on Amazon. Sellers will lie through their eye teeth to flog something. Completely disgusted. What a waste of money.

Super Smart Watch!
This is my first Smartwatch - after holding off for a number of years I felt now was the time to dip my toe in the water and having seen other members of my family enjoy the previous generations of Ticwatch it felt like the right thing to do going with the very latest iteration of this watch family and to have the support and suggestions of the other Ticwatch users in the household to lean on if required. This particular model has only just been released (I pre-ordered on Amazon a week or so before release and the watch was duly delivered by the Official Mobvoi Store, courtesy of Amazon). The watch is nice packed in a smart and sturdy box and the contents are well laid out and secured within this. I found the watch, a quick start guide, a charging cable (no plug but you only need a standard USB charger to connect to which was no problem in my household). Charging with the magnetically connected lead was straightforward and fast and I installed the WearOS app on my Android phone in the meantime. The watch itself is substantial looking but lightweight and the strap being a leather/silicone combination looks and feels really nice on the wrist - I have had admiring comments from people asking me what watch I was wearing and I would say it does look more expensive than it really is. Setup was easy and did not take long, with a combination of the watch and the phone prompting me, I chose a nice watchface to run with initially (called Rhythm) and then started to play with the other apps and settings available before living my life with the watch to see how it worked for me. I have the watch set to always-on-mode as I love to see the animated watch face at any time, this does have an impact on overall battery life but I still found I only needed to charge every two or three days. I have been wild swimming several times a week in the last year so it seemed natural to go for a rugged Smartwatch that would be able to cope with the knocks and bangs (as well as the water!) involved in such pursuits…. This watch did not disappoint in this respect in any way. It is apparently built to US Military Standard 810G - I’m not sure what that covers exactly, but I can say that this watch appears to be very tough. It is advertised as being dust-proof, waterproof (IP68 rated) as well as capable of withstanding temperature, humidity and shock extremes. All I can say is, it has survived my beach and river swimming activities without skipping a beat, I’ve clambered over rocks, sat in the sand and jumped in the sea. There is a an option to run a series of tones (long press the lower button) to drive any residual water from the speaker/mic which I think is worth doing (when I remember). I should say that whilst this is my first Smartwatch so I don’t have anything to compare with, it seems really responsive with no lag at all when running any of the apps that I have played with so far. In terms of support and updates, whilst this watch is currently on WearOS V2, support for the newest iteration, WearOS V3 has been promised at some point which is great news. The 4G/LTE functionality is not enabled yet on my phone - I need to speak to Vodafone as I understand they are offering a contract for the Ticwatch range and it would be really useful to be able to make and take calls and messages away from my phone (whilst swimming for example) - further investigation to come on this. I tend to use GooglePay on my phone whilst out and about so the ability to pay from my watch without getting a phone out of my bag has proven to be really useful and quick to do. I love the ability to quickly review messages - WhatsApp or text etc (including graphic/photo content) - avoiding the need to pull your phone out to take a look and it is even possible to respond to messages quickly and easily with a pre-canned response. I find the message vibration alerts work well and get your attention without too much fuss or audible feedback. App wise you do get a good selection of useful health related apps pre-installed - (both Mobvoi and generic Google variants), SPo2, heart rate, stress etc - I set all of these to continuous monitoring so I can keep an eye on my levels throughout the day (and night - with sleep tracking thrown in for good measure) - so it has been fun seeing how fit (or unfit at times) I appear to be…. I have installed the Strava app and tried this with both walks and cycling which works well - when you reach the end of your activity, simply hit the end button and the whole exercise including the route taken etc is uploaded to your account so you can see it in full detail on your phone, brilliant! The Google Assistant is useful for setting alarms and timers (as well as lots of other things I’m sure!) and I found using my watch to control the Spotify app in the gym made sense. Beyond this there are apps for numerous other purposes available in the PlayStore via the watch. All in all I love my new watch, this may be my first Smartwatch but I can’t fault the experience in any way, from the rugged construction to the lovely bright, responsive screen and decent Multi-day battery life, it’s a winner for me and I’ll certainly be recommending the brand and specific watch model to friends and family in the future.

Great watch let down by atrocious customer service.
6 months in and I absolutely love this watch. It’s well-priced, incredibly reliable, looks the part, and has more than enough features and functionality to meet my needs. Battery life at circa 3 days in Smart mode is also pretty amazing, unlike other smartwatches that I have owned. I also like the option to switch the watch to Essential mode (apparently giving 45 days of battery life). The maximum I have tried it for was 10 days when travelling, which it achieved with ample battery capacity left. Being a Wear OS watch means that you have to use both the Wear OS App and Mobvoi App to manage the functionality of the watch which I found a bit confusing. Not helped by the fact that the user interface on the Mobvoi App is rather underwhelming. I particularly like the fact that you can purchase different third-party skins and straps (22mm) to personalise the watch, so you get to wear a different watch every day if you want. The skins also help protect the case. Sadly, and the reason for the 3 stars only is that Mobvoi customer service is atrocious. I have contacted them a number of times to ask when they will be rolling out Wear OS3, which was promised and one of the reasons I purchased it as it represents a significant upgrade to the operating system over the installed Wear OS2. Sadly, all I get is a deafening silence. At the very least I would have expected some form of acknowledgment, if not an answer. If you read reviews elsewhere you will see I’m not alone. If you are reading this Mobvoi, you produce a decent watch, at a sensible price but you really can’t afford to treat your customers with such obvious disdain.

A comprehensive Smart Watch without breaking the bank
I bought this off the back of owning the TicWatch S2 & the TicWatch Pro 2020. These days the older S2 isn't quite up to my needs as a "Fitness" watch (the battery doesn't last for 5 hour long mountain biking sessions when using the fitness features), so I wanted to swap my 2020 into my "Fitness" watch, the Pro 3 GPS (Bluetooth) seemed like the logical choice for my "good watch" :). There are far more comprehensive reviews on here already so I'll keep mine short by comparison. General Thoughts - This watch is awesome, it's fast, it's responsive, it's everything you could possibly want from a Smart Watch. The battery life is really impressive, the FSTN screen with a backlight is a stroke of genius (more below) and it's clearly built to last. When I bought this I also bought some tempered glass screen protectors (these ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08LPS2H5Y £7.88 for peace of mind was a no-brainer) as I hate the idea of scratching or damaging the watchface itself, the pictures I've posted (other than the unboxing ones) are all with the screen protector on, you can't really notice it at all and the watch still works perfectly. Pros - - The FSTN screen - The LCD screen on the previous "Pro" TicWatches was brilliant for battery life, but the FSTN screen takes this to the next level. I've turned off "tilt-to-wake" entirely, 90% of the time I look at my watch it's for the time and now it has a backlight I can get this at a glance without any impact on battery life. - The battery life - This is probably massively helped by the screen, but it EASILY lasts 2 days (48 hours), with all of the bells and whistles turned on, I'm talking 24 hour heart & SP02 tracking, Stress tracking, Sleep as Android. Without that it would probably last 3 days but that isn't my use-case. - The build is really nice, it's lighter than the Pro 2020 that I have, but still feels just as robust, which is probably really nice if you're looking to use this as a fitness watch - The OS/Apps - Whilst the watch is running WearOS, there are obviously a load of TicWatch apps on there, all of them serve a good purpose and integrate with other services e.g. Google, so if you want a heavily 'Googley' experience you can still get it, but by using the TicWatch apps you get them in a way that's more optimised for the watch e.g. heart rate tracking, exercise sync-ing etc. (it even syncs to Strava for people that like that stuff). - Interchangeability - This seems like a really small/pointless thing, but it's something I appreciate. I have a load of 3rd party (and TicWatch) watch straps from my other watches (S2 & Pro 2020) and they all fit this watch too, it means I can easily pick and choose what straps are on what. Cons - - I really wish I could find something I didn't like, but any minor niggles that I have are WearOS specific rather than related to this watch e.g. I'd love to have more than 5 tiles, I'd love for there to be more data-driven/interactive watch faces for google fit, none of these are Mobvoi's problem and certainly not an issue with the watch. - The only 'bad' thing about this watch is that it's made me realise how slow/clunky my S2 is, again, not a fault of this watch, more of a complement of how excellent this watch is! Overall, if you're looking for a comprehensive smart watch without breaking the bank this is the answer, it's got everything you need for not just for now, but its equipped with all the tech for the next generation of WearOS which is coming to TicWatch later in 2022.

Excellent watch, ruined by two OTA updates
Excellent watch, ruined by two OTA updates, app connectivity, android wear detection fails, 80% functionality unusable now. 1- The watch worked perfectly in the beginning, then OTA update happened overnight and never asked for confirmation, next day whole watch wiped out, not getting detected nor was able to pair. Took me a while to get it back but now it is pretty much just a fancy screen now.Considering I am pretty tech savvy, it took me 3 hours and at least 20 tries to get it to work again. All this just because of one update. 2- Excellent screen, battery is not anywhere close to promised but ok for 2-3 days or a bit more, if you turn off all functions as heart rate and other health features. 3- The old app was way better than the new app, not sure why they went downhill in one version update ? 4-Watch faces all gone and new watch faces are very limited, I wish I could go back to older version of both watch and the phone app. 5- Be careful, watch update feature is on by default and you cannot change to manual or update after confirmation. I am not sure why manufacturers take away the choice of the consumer when to update and when not to. Another excellent piece of gadget , let down by poor software.
