There's absolutely nothing to complain or dislike abou this processor, it's simply a great Budget BUY !!The two cores churn out every ounce of processing power, even giving low end Core i3 chips a run for their money! The best part is the integrated intel UHD 610 graphics, enables you to do some casual gaming as well. Initially I was planning to buy i3 10105f or 10100, but they both require discrete graphics, which I didn't wanna buy. Imagine needing a separate graphics card when you're on a tight budget. That was exactly my situation. I recommend this Pentium Gold Processor for anyone facing the same dire situation. you can put together a decent PC under 30K(excluding Monitor), ask me and I'll tell you how. The performance is great when paired with the right peripherals and other components. Windows 11 got installed in under 5 minutes and boots up in about 5 seconds in my current configuration that includes this chip. Even Fortnite ran with a few lags here and there.

CPU is great. But the Fan included with CPU has defective lock. I had to buy defferent Fan and heatsink to get my CPU installed. When contacted Amazon for replacement of CPU fan, they offered to change full product which is inconvenient as CPU is already installed.

For normal computing without much Graphics involved its a ok CPU. Little more stress would make the 100% usages and work like a mule...

I've had the Intel Pentium Gold G6405 (10th Gen) on a custom rig with 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4 RAM, a Gen 4 NVMe SSD, and no separate GPU for more than three years now, and although it gets by if you're not too demanding, I just can't in good conscience recommend it to anyone in 2025. The second you exceed light browsing or have many Chrome tabs open alongside Word or Spotify, the CPU begins to show its age. It's a 2-core processor without hyperthreading, and that greatly restricts performance—plain multitasking feels like a strain. The only reason my experience is not an unmitigated disaster is because the system features a gen4 NVMe SSD and sufficient RAM, but when you couple this CPU with a plain HDD (as I did at first), it becomes intolerably slow—boot times are a joke, applications freeze all the time, and everything takes ages. The onboard UHD 610 graphics are sufficient for very light applications, and while you can play highly optimized games such as Valorant or CS:GO, the performance is not smooth(30-50 fps in CS:GO,70-140 fps in Valorant and barely 30 fps in some maps of CS2 other than Dust2). Don't even think about playing anything released after 2013 unless you don't mind low settings and ultra poor performance. And even if you're considering an upgrade with a GPU such as a GTX 1650 or 1060—don't bother; the CPU will bottleneck extremely hard and forgo the GPU's capabilities. At the price it still retails at (approximately ₹6–7K INR), it simply doesn't provide value anymore. You can easily get much better options such as the Ryzen 5 5500 or even an i3 10105 or i3 10100 and many better processors in this price point which provide more cores, smoother performance, better upgradeability, and a superior overall experience in all possible ways. The G6405 served its time some years ago when super low-budget builds were okay compromises, but these days, it is simply not worth your money even for casual users or students (Unless you're using an NVMe SSD)
