Mastic FLAVORED gum, NOT mastic gum
Just to be clear: This is NOT mastic gum which is pure resin of the mastic tree. This is mastic FLAVORED gum. Mastic, or damla sakizli in Turkish, is a flavoring popular in Turkey and is used to flavor everything from coffee to ice cream to liqueurs. Like chewing gum in the United States, the ingredients of the gum base of Falim gum is a trade secret. Pure mastic gum, sometimes called "Tears of Chios", is much harder and much more expensive. This does not reflect negatively on Falim or the seller, as mastic is a flavor in Mediterranean countries. The flavoring comes from the mastic tree and undoubtedly is contained in the gum, but is not necessarily an ingredient of the gum base. With that being said, I find Falim gum to be a pleasantly firm gum. The mastic flavor is very mild and is more an aroma than a taste. I was looking for an unflavored gum as I chew gum all day to prevent dry mouth and do not like to constantly have a bold flavor on my tongue. This gum is so mild in flavor that I can continue to chew it right up to a meal or snack and not have the taste of the gum affect the taste of the food.

The taste is a flavor that I like.
So many people complained about the flavor. My father is a picky eater who complains about flavors and tastes that are wonderful. I can count on one hand how many different ingredients he'll eat in anything without total disgust. I understand that there are people who have the palate of a 5 year old. If you're not one of those people, then this "gum" is perfectly fine. Look at my second photo - it feels and looks just like chewing gum. It's much thicker and it will tire out your facial muscles. It took a bit longer to work on mine than it'd probably take most people, but I wear a US size 7.5 hat with a big head and strong face muscles. The smell is stronger than the flavor for me, but again, I'm not a picky eater. I'll eat fermented veggies, any seafood, whatever... I really don't care. I had MREs in the Army and I've fasted for days before, so I know true hunger and will eat anything. My mother raised me to stay out of the kitchen and eat what she put on my plate at dinner, so when I put this herbal scented gum in my mouth, my only thought was, "I wonder if it tastes like some strange tea." Well, it doesn't. That flavor which some comments referred to as some odd sort of aftertaste is simply the smell drifting up into the back of your nose while chewing. It's stronger when you chew with your mouth closed, which is something else I was raised to do. I say "stronger..." But to be honest I've chewed on 6 hour old giant bubble gum balls that had long since lost all their sugary flavor, after the first 30 minutes of chewing, and they had more flavor than this Mastic Resin "Gum."I feel the same way towards the negative commenters as I do towards people like my picky eater Dad who can't enjoy a normal meal... it was partly Grandma's fault for not making him finish his food before giving him cake. It was underexposure to other foods, because Grandpa is just as picky if not worse. It just seems childish. And I know they say they're more sensitive to flavors, but when you eat only 4 foods into your 60s or 80s and have chronic allergy and inflammatory issues from your limited diet because normal foods are "icky" or "have a bad texture," your sensitivity is BARELY there. Some of you can't smell anything unless it's strong, and strong smells scare you from eating. I mean you just can't win with people like this. So if you're a normal eater with normal tastes and you understand that this is to develop the sharpness of your facial jawline and not a sugar-free chewing gum alternative for an overweight picky eater to make it through another fad diet this week, then you have the right mindset and you'll find the flavor to be perfectly within the tolerable zone, easily. After a few hours I started to enjoy the aromatic. Did you know that the Lebanese use Mastic in their cooking? I bet whatever it is they're making tastes phenomenal, and I bet the people complaining about the flavor of this wouldn't eat food that didn't come from their current diet even if their lives depended on it. They'd probably shiver and say, "Lebanon, ew that sounds gross," because they have spoiled and childish ideas about eating new foods.I'm just going to say it: I love the taste now. I can't get enough of it. Fortunately, I think this "gum" will probably last days, maybe weeks, because it's so thick. Just don't chew it with dirty teeth and try to save it chewed up with bacteria on it. That said, there's literally a small brick's worth of the stuff here in the one pack with... I think it was 100 pieces. That's a really good price for this. You could launch it across the warehouse like a football, and it'd still be in perfect condition. It came with a clear plastic wrapping over the strong little cardboard box that says Falim on it, and all 20 packs are stacked neatly into 5 stacks of 4. That's 5 pieces in each little pack (check my 2 photos).

Great nicotine gum replacement
When I quit nicorette, I needed something to replace the gum-chewing sensation. This gum does the trick, with a similar density and the fact it has no sugar or artificial sweeteners makes it like chewing rubber. While that’s not something a lot of people would be after, anyone who has chewed nicorette will know what I mean.

Healthy but not a jaw sculpting gum.
It’s definitely a little bit harder than regular gum but it’s not hard enough if you’re looking to build a masculine jaw. Great price though to clean your mouth after meals or prevent gym breath without any harmful ingredients, plain, no flavor, takes a few times to get used to. Your brain says it’s time to spit it out but your mouth said it’s just getting started. I’ll keep it in my arsenal.

BEWARE: This gum can have an adverse effect!
It is made with chemicals banned in U.S. and UK that can cause cancer. As soon as I put it in my mouth I spit back out. It smells like gasoline, I’m not kidding. It tasted so toxic that I used Google Translate to get the ingredients and found out it’s not safe to chew.DO NOT BUY!

nice
pleasant and subtle taste (kind an acquired taste tho). 1 piece is good for just chewing / mouth feel, 2 pieces is good for a little jaw workout
