Great monitor, with audio and video
Our computer audio was having issues and we were thinking of replacing it. Instead, we found this monitor that not only has built in audio, but enables video (zoom) conferencing too. Great picture and the best price point for all these features. Note that if you have an older computer, be sure to search the cords (not included) that you will need to connect this monitor to your computer. It took me a couple of tries working with Dell support and they never got it right. Finally I did a search and found the right answer.

Good monitor, bad camera
It's a video conference camera so it's not the end of the world for me. If you need it for more than that, then this is not your monitor. I have a $20 no brand USB camera off Amazon that I gave to my wife for her monitor and that thing was miles better. I mainly bought this as a companion for my Dell P2419 monitor with a camera in it. The monitor is excellent just like the P2419. It was a bit finicky trying to get the S2422 to work with my dock and get the drivers installed. The camera wasn't initially recognized, and I have to use a USB A (dock side) to USB C (S2422) side to get the camera and USB ports to work. It's nice that this could be your only monitor without a dock too. I did try it out that way, but couldn't think of a way to get my other P2419 to work through the S2422. I believe the S2422 is designed to be your only external monitor. It is definitely possible to use the S2422 for a monitor, camera, speakers and USB ports AND another external 1080P monitor over a single USB-C dock. I love the nearly non-existent edge as well.

WFH use to have fewer cables, mission accomplished, but...
I bought this specific monitor because the power cable goes to the monitor, then the monitor connects to my laptop via USB-C. Done. This replaced a power cable to the laptop, it gets power from the USB-C cable from the monitor. Then no extra cables to a camera or speakers/microphone. I was using a USB speaker with built in microphone from Jabra that is really good, but so many cables. If you can connect via USB-C then this is great. If you are going to use HDMI then you will need separate cables for the camera and microphone.Like everyone states the camera is lacking in a big way, but for my work our meetings are 95% audio with video cameras off, so its good enough when I need it.I also use a big 34" Dell widescreen and I love the software that comes with both of these that divides screen into sections to make it easy to fit applications into the boxes. So with these it works for me. Not a great monitor, but with all in one I can live with the compromises. The bad and it was really bad setting this up in Windows 10. Seemed to be plug and play, but the audio would just STOP after 10-20 minutes. Discovered in Web meetings, but then I tried playing music as a test and it still happened. Hours of frustration and even called Dell, but the problem is it works then 10 minutes later is STOPS working. I would have to turn the monitor on and off and then it worked. Dell couldn't solve it and after every attempt it was such a long wait to see if it was solved or not.Turns out there were two audio drivers active and once I disabled the one called ECHO something or another it has worked ever since. The problem with this is the one I am using doesn't allow me to adjust the volume past its maximum. So it was set at 14% on the monitor. Via the physical buttons this was the maximum volume. The fix was to disable the one that I was using and enable the Echo one, then adjust to 100%. Disable ECHO and enable the other one. Now I can control the volume normally.Just a royal pain to setup and now 14 days after buying this it is $50 cheaper. Rrrrr. Its all behind me now and maybe when my work goes to Windows 11 I can use the Echo one. BTW its a Dell laptop as well.

Excellent Monitor, Good Value
I bought two of these monitors. They are well designed, with a crisp display. Also, they run considerably cooler than my older clunky, monitors I got rid of. The camera and the speaker work well. Even though you can connect the monitor to your computer or dock with displayport, HDMI, or USB-C, it’s far preferable to connect directly to your computer via USB-C.

Amazing tech support
Camera stopped working (it turned "on" when pushed down and vice versa), called Dell, and after brief troubleshooting they agreed to send a replacement, which arrived just two business days later. Amazing!Works flawlessly with our HP and Lenovo Windows laptops, and MacBook Air. USB-C charging and display on a single included cable. Sharp; good speaker; decent autofocus camera for video calls; although microphone muffled compared with iPhone. Our Dell warranty period had activated 2 months before purchase from Amazon, something to look out for or correct if registering.Top marks, value for money, we bought a second one!

Good monitor, poor camera
The best part of the monitor is the USB C connector. One cable back to the laptop charges it and handles audio and video. It is superb technology. Monitor itself is solid for the money. HD, good work monitor. Microphone and speakers are solid. The webcam is a different story. Video quality is poor. I appear fuzzy, even in good light. Any virtual background or blur will produce ghosting on movement. This is a major disappointment, but probably not enough for me to spend $200 more for the newer model. As cheap as camera tech is though, they could have done better than 5 MP and no backlighting.

Great Monitor (Dell S2422HZ 24-inch) - No KVM - microphone difficult to adjust
Love this monitor, great picture, Highlights:Supposed to have a built in KVM and this smaller 24 inch model does not have the KVM featureThe instructions do NOT do a good job explaining how to hook up multiple computers via the USB C - still can not figure it outThe microphone is difficult control, I can only control it via the monitor controlsThe Dell DDM software only works over the USB C - not over displayport or HDMI cableThe Webcam quality is somewhat grainyI am using this on a Dell Inspiron laptop that needs a 90W power supply to boot, the power through the USB C cable is only 65W and will not boot the laptop, it will only keep it charged after it boots.Non existent customer support beyond simply issues like powering upOverall - still a ok monitor, very sturdy, just wish the KVM feature worked.
