CHELATED The word “chelated” refers to a substance consisting of molecules that bind tightly to metal atoms, thus forcing the metal atoms to go wherever the chelator goes. The bound pair — chelator plus metal atom — is called a “chelate”. Chelators are intended to carry atoms into the body, or into the cells themselves, in larger amounts than the body would normally allow. It is proposed that the chelators are treated as desirable molecules by the recognition systems in cell walls, and are therefore given entry into the cells. When this process occurs in the cells, EquiSilver gains entry to the bloodstream; when it occurs in the cells lining the blood vessels, this will also allow it to gain entry to other body tissues. COLLOIDS Colloids are materials made up of solid particles of such small size that when dispersed in water they remain in suspension rather than sinking. “Colloidal mineral” supplements consist of mineral salts or other mineral compounds converted into colloidal form, either by grinding or by rapid crystallization. Most colloidal substances are poorly bioavailable, since the colloidal particles, small as they are, are nevertheless far too large to be intestinally absorbed whole, and nearly all of the active ingredients are trapped in the interior of the particles, where they cannot come into contact with the transport channels in the cells. However, if a colloidal substance can dissolve into the cell, it would then release it’s particles for potential absorption.

Originally worked great but the SLS caused other issues.
Updated Review (6-2018) -After a few uses, my dog's skin developed different issues. I took a closer look of the ingredients and saw that it contained SLS. Sulfates are incredibly irritating to the skin because it simply cleans too well - it strips the skin of its natural oil and exposes it to environmental pollutants and irritants. Plus there is an issue of it being potentially carcinogenic. Not wanting to waste it, I used the remaining shampoo for my laundry. Laundry was really clean! lolThe idea of adding silver to the shampoo is a great one but the SLS is a deal breaker for me. I don't want to use these harsh chemicals on my family or on my dog.Original Review -My dog (some sort of Yorkie mix) suffered from serious dandruff and his skin was bumpy and itchy as he was getting middle-aged. I had tried a few shampoos/conditioners (both over the counter and from the vet's office) and nothing really gave relief until this one. I bathed him once a week and after two applications, I could see a big improvement. And now 5 weeks in, the dandruff is completely gone and he scratches himself a lot less.Also the scent is very pleasant. Not strong or overpowering at all. A big plus in my book as I do not want to overwhelm his sensitive nose. I have returned shampoos for heavy scent before.His fur is very soft now and I do not need to use a conditioner afterwards. I think a bottle will easily last 6 months for me with weekly use. 5 stars!

My dog is literally comfortable in her own skin
Oh my goodness!!! I am so impressed with this shampoo. My dog is a goldendoodle so her hair is extremely thick and had been woolly looking. I normally take her to the groomers. I noticed she had some skin problems where their were small scabies on her head. When I saw this, I immediately started to do some research and found your shampoo. After reading about your product I decided to give it a try. This shampoo is above the bar. My dog is literally comfortable in her own skin. Not only that, but her hair has never looked blacker, richer and shiner than it does now. I can't get over how beautiful her hair looks and how easy it was to comb her thick hair out. It was never like this before. The next time I take her to the groomers, I am also bringing this shampoo for them to use. I don't want any other product used on her hair after seeing the benefits of EquiSilver Plus Medicated Shampoo. Thank you so very much for making such a great product and caring enough about our animals. I wish I had something like this to use on my hair. Thank you again.

My Dog Gets Itchy every August - October
My dog had been itching for the past three weeks and we had tried several different products. We noticed a huge improvement in redness and itching after first bath. We are bathing him every other day and after three baths redness (staining) on face, tummy and armpits is nearly gone. He is down to taking Benadryl once or twice a day now and hopefully after a few more baths he'll be able to stop taking it. He was also having to wear an inflatable collar to stop itching and he hasn't had to wear that since the day after first bath. Coat looks really shiny and healthy and no flaky skin anymore on his back. Highly recommend giving this shampoo a try for your itchy dog.

My pet was scratching so much she had an open sore on her face. This shampoo helped stop the itching and helped with her wound healing. My baby could finally sleep at night.

Healthy Coat.
My Pom had an issue with a thinning of her coat, on either side of her hips.The Vet wanted to get skin grafts to examine, and go from there.I opted to get a medicated shampoo, and chose Chelated Silver. I am glad I did. By using faithfully this shampoo, her coat is back to what it used to be.The shampoo MUST be used weekly for the first month, and then go from there...

Itch Relief
This shampoo is the only relief that I have been able to find for my West Highland Terrier. This has been a long, hot Summer and the grass and dirt have become public enemy number one. Every time the dog goes out to do what dogs do, it comes in itching and scratching and miserable. Giving her a bath with this shampoo not only takes care of the itch, but leaves her coat soft, shiny and smelling great. Thanks for this product.

Made me and my dog feel amzing.
I washed my dog with it only 1 time so far but it worked just amazing! My dog has dry skin on her back and close to her butt. It cleared it up right away. I also used it on myself for my own dry skin and its amzing for me too. Anyone who has itching dry skin or just dry skin I think it would help and I would try it.

Dog that hates bath? Mine relaxed & calmed!
Even though she shaved my Australian Shepherd gets foxtails in her like crazy over the summer, particularly between her toes and around her paw pads. After lathering her up she actually seemed to relax and enjoy the rest of her bath and she hates baths! I will buy this product again, for sure.
