original classical music that even beginners can play!
This collection of pieces is great because there are easy to play pieces by Beethoven, Scarlatti etc. I like the Sonatina section best; they sound very accomplished when you play them but actually they are really easy. There are also some nice Etudes to use to practice basic techniques; these are lovely too. I didn't enjoy the first folk song section so much and I have no-one to play the duets with, but I intend to buy the book today!

An excellent Edition
This is an excellent Edition. The binding allows the pages to sit flat and not turn back on you. The paper is very white, and the print is clear and well spaced. Heinrich Schenker has done his best to provide an Urtext edition that is a close to the original Beethoven as it can be. The fingerings are designed to bring out the music. Additional dynamics and so on are NOT added. You get Beethoven's ideas just as HE wanted them. I highly recommend this book.
