Magic of Modern Metaphor: Walking with Stars Illustrated Edition

I felt this was a complete waste of my money. I can understand why it was structured the way it was but frankly I found it unhelpful and a faff and believe there are many ways it could have been made more user friendly. However this becomes irrelevant when you consider that I will never use it. The stories were frequently far too short and not well written in my opinion. Even if they had been they are now sorely out of date making them old fashioned and contrived and of little use in the current world. Some of my clients would likely be insulted as they seem more like they should be in a children's book. Jack and his grandfather.... repeatedly, really is that the best you can do. The author also refers to several famous people basing stories around them which is always a risk as fashions come and go in celebrities and many fall out of favour and who knows what that might trigger in your client. I bought this on the strength of a couple of reviews and feel it was a complete waste of money. I know I will never use it. Any half decent therapist should be able to come up with better themselves.

Extremely useful book for anyone who practices hypnotherapy. It is filled with great metaphors that are easily adapted to suit the client and is indexed clearly at the back with suggestions for what each metaphor can be used for. The whole book follows Jack who has some interesting chats with his very wise granddad.

Wonderful book full of inspirational ideas. Recommended.
