Serengeti Velocity Sunglasses (Titanium Aviator)

I am a big fan of Serengeti Sunglasses. This is my third pair in the last ten years or so. They are definitely high quality. My last pair was just not the same after I sat on them and a lens kept popping out after that. I do like this style. Not as big as full aviators, but large enough to not let light in around the edges. I had this gray lens color two pairs ago. I really liked them, but my wife gave me the amber driving glasses in my last pair. I always thought I liked the gray better, but now these seem too dark for driving. They are great out in the sunlight though. I'm trying to talk myself into getting the amber also so I will have both.

I have long liked the optics on Serengeti sunglasses. Beginning with a pair drivers back in the 80's. I have owned Rodenstocks, Maui Jims and Porsch sunglasses. The 555nm's are the best. I bought these after I broke a pair of 555nm's and added the fingerprint resistant coating. They are all I expected.

I love Serengeti glasses. I still own and use one I purchased over 15 years ago. So I decided to purchase another one.I like the new pair, except for ONE problem: Evey time I try to look down or move the glasses up on top of my head, they fall off. It looks like the ear pieces and the hinge they are attached to have been pulled apart. I tried to push them in a little. The hinge mechanism is hard and I am afraid I may break the ear piece if I push the metal piece any farther. And if you have ANY amount of sweat on your face or head, the problem gets worse.

They look cool, and they're Serengeti sunglasses, but they don't do much good as sunglasses. I've owned a similar pair about 15 years ago... those were better (but those were crushed). 15 years of loose change later, I was finally able to afford replacement expensive cheap sunglasses. They might work well for those who also wear sunglasses indoors, or at night.

This is my sixth pair of Serengeti sunglasses in a variety of the manufacturer's lens types on offer. I still have them all. Always exceptional quality and well worth the price. This particular frame model is extremely comfortable. The polarized lenses do not interfere with vehicle instrument or navigation displays. Highly recommended.

I've had many pairs of sunglasses in the past, including the supposed to be best Maui Jims. These are hands down the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I bought the polarized shiny gunmetal after first returning the none-polarized version. The lenses are simply unsurpassed in clarity. The lenses adapting to the level of light is very noticeable in an great way.

Comfortable, light and really do provide great reduction in sun's glare and brightness, wihtout just being "opaque" . Make good driving glasses to avoid eye strain and see details ahead without reflections or glare..

Best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned. Changes well with light condition. My fifth pair. Sweat and sun tan lotion will ruin these glasses, however.

Verres polarisés et photochromique (teinte qui varie en fonction de la lumière)très grand confort de vision. Serengeti are easily the best brand of sunglasses I have ever worn. And these are great, but not as great as some of the others in the range in terms of how much they block and how well they work with reflective surfaces.
