I wanted a container that could handle having boiling water poured straight into it and this fits the bill. The glass is a bit thin however I have banged it a couple of times on the counter top and its still in one piece. I have never used the flip top lid (as every time i pour from it i remove it) so I don't know if it is spill proof. Its fairly simple to wash with a bottle brush and it looks nice too.

I wanted a pitcher with a top that sealed but I couldn't find one on Amazon, so I purchased this. I use it to store leftover coffee. It works fine for that purpose. I don't think the top is airtight. But it seals pretty well. Enough so that you don't have to worry about the air in the fridge affecting the contents and vice versa.I've taken it out of the cold fridge and poured hot coffee into it without a worry. It didn't crack or break. It doesn't have a handle. But on the other hand, it takes up less room in the fridge that way. And the clear glass allows you to check the condition of the contents. If you want a medium sized container to store liquids in the fridge, I recommend this.

I purchased one of these a few weeks ago and liked it so much I decided to buy a couple of more. I wasn't concerned about the cozy at the time since it is only me I have to worry about and borosilicate glass is quite sturdy anyway. With the cozy on these I won't have any concerns letting the grand kids handle them. The cozy is rather tight fit so I recommend putting it on a clean dry container before filling. The seal and pouring spout is ingenious. It probably would not be the perfect container to keep your best wine or carbonated beverages in,since pressure from the inside would probably unseal it, but adequate for juice, milk, Ice tea, hot or cold coffee drinks. (I have a batch of homemade Kahlua in one now)

I love this thing, I was initially concerned because the rubber boot seemed to always slip out of place or get pinched so liquid spilled everywhere. However, after a few hand washings, and using it for several weeks, this thing rocks. Put watermelon, strawberries, mint leaves, lemon, etc. at different and separate times and water comes out perfectly infused. Pours great and though it seems lightweight and a big potential for breakage, it's actually pretty stout.

I love this easy to hold and store glass carafe. I keep in the fridge with a charcoal stick to purify tap water. The lid floats open when the vessel is tilted and goes back in place by itself when it is upright. The neoprene jacket is also a nice addition when I leave it out on the table at meal time. I would definitely purchase again as a gift

I bought this product on February 1 and on March 10 the bottom of it has cracked. As I cant return it I will have to toss it. I thought it would have held up better than this. I hand wash it with a bottle brush and do not put it in the dishwasher. I liked the product until I noticed the spider webbed crack.

Elegant design and easy to pour your favorite beverage, hot or cold! I make iced tea every day and store it in my refrigerator to have handy all day. This makes it so easy to pour and my guests comment on it all the time... love it!
