40 fun to color Doodle Creatures Designs set in Outer Space – printed one side of the page
The media could not be loaded. This is my second book of doodle creatures by this publisher. As with the Zifflin line of “doodle” books, so far each of the books by Okami Books has had a different illustrator. The artist for this book is Irvin Ranada and the theme is doodle creatures in outer space. This is my second book by this artist (the first was from another publisher) and I appreciate his style of artwork. The designs are so cute and quirky that just looking at them makes me smile. They are very detailed to color and some have intricate and small spots as well. I especially enjoy the picture of the alien cats in outer space but there are so many I enjoy, I know that I will spend hours with this book. This is the style of book that will appeal to people with a quirky sense of humor who also like drawing many small elements on each page. There is a fun sense of abandonment to reason when I color doodle creatures. I can use any colors or medium I wish – making it cohesive through color or giving it a feeling of dissonance or disharmony through color as well. This is what I experienced while coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper:40 Detailed Doodle Creatures designs in outer spacePrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical of CreateSpace: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.Designs do not merge into the binding and there is plenty of room to cut out pages if you choose to do so. The designs have a framing line at the outer edgeGlue BindingAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work well with this paper. I found that I could layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. I tested both oil and wax based pencils. I also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in the book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

Fantastically fun book! Don't show your kids...and if you do, get them one too!
This book is fantastic - perfect for just colorelaxing (a word I just made up) while watching a little tv at night. I love space and even work in the industry. This book is a combo of space and crazy. The pictures are so fun and I don't have to spend any time trying to make sense out of what I am drawing because they really aren't meant to make sense :-) My 6 year old daughter begs me everyday to help me color "Momma's space book," but nope - this baby is mine! The kids have their own coloring books similar to this one, but they like this one much better. ONLY DOWNSIDE - don't show your kids or they will keep nagging you about how much fun it looks to color and how we should all share and take turns...

Very cute!
This is a really cute book! The pages are a bit thin so I probably wouldn't use markers on these but colored pencils should be fine. If you're like me and you're used to coloring very detailed pieces, like from the mythographic series, this will almost be a nice little break but still give a really fun result.

Hearts for days!! ❤♥️❤♥️❤
This is an amazing doodle image book. So many cute characters mashed together in some pretty neat scenes. I really like the claw machine picture lol. The pages are thin and smooth. Colored pencils lay down beautifully and markers work great but will bleed like everyone who uses markers knows this will happen. Just place a sheet of paper between the one your doing and the next one to keep it safe. One sided pages so this is wonderful for any medium you choose.

Like it
Very cute I love the doodle invasion coloring books this is my second one. They are fun and to me you can go crazy with color cause of the variety of critters in each page. Lots of fun to color. I would recommend using something g on the back to keep markers from bleeding onto the next page.

Best coloring book ever
I never fell into the coloring craze because technically I never stopped coloring and have been a giant woman child my entire life. When I had a kid I thought it was wonderful. We often sat and colored together, except she doesn't let me color in her coloring books anymore and I was forced to buy my own. Little kid coloring books are meh cuz you finish coloring the page quickly. However, with this book, the art is so phenomenal. I could color the same page for days and still have things to color on that page! I love all the doodles and I love this coloring book!

Cute but not what I was looking for
I have a friend who loves teaching the space unit in science class, and I was hoping for something a little more realistic maybe? It has some cute/interesting doodles, but not at all what I was actually looking for.

Muy entretenido
Los dibujos son todos diferentes, aunque en la composición algunos de los personajes se repiten seguido.

Great book! Colours great with alcohol markers !
Really enjoying this book. Paper is of good quality. With a sheet of card behind the page I'm able to use Winsor & Newton and Touchnew alcohol markers to a reasonable standard, ink does bleed a little and without the card would stain 2nd page, but it is possible. The style is really fun to colour in and I like that it is single sided !

Colorea y deja volar tu imaginación
The media could not be loaded.
